Right now, the actions of creating and editing worlds are completely stupid because there is no way to directly edit a world when starting up Megazeux. I suggest changing the functionality of the E key during the "start-up" state so that pressing E edits the world currently being displayed, and that the N key should create a new world.
Furthermore, the user should have the option of creating a "project space" when creating a new world. Right now it's impossible to create a new world in a folder that does not already have an existing .mzx in it, meaning that the user must create and save a mzx world, create a folder for it, copy the world into it outside the editor, and then possibly add more folders for storing palettes and (partial) charsets and music etc. This should be doable within megazeux.
Lastly, new world generation should be tweaked. A new world should always come with two boards by default, with the title board set to have the default name "Title".
Edit: Actually, I want to add one more thing. On creating a new world, the first board world property should default to the second board.
