dMZX Forums: A way to escape from busyloops -> Rejected Requests -> Tracker

Since some MZX games are known to abuse the COMMANDS counter, there needs to be a way to break out of COMMANDS-induced busyloops. As of GIT 661069b I've added a temporary fix to this issue; however, there are several issues that it currently introduces:

1) The key polling threshold is relatively low, at 65536 commands. It should probably be higher or platform-specific.

2) The current break keys (both Escape and Break will work at the moment) would be easy to hit in certain applications where an extremely high number of commands might be desirable. The key shortcut should be altered and user-definable.

3) The solution itself is kind of dirty (poll events every X commands; halt execution of all robots if a break key is pressed; display worthless error message). Preferably it would be more streamlined and maybe exit gameplay mode (or switch to a blank world if the busyloop occurs on the titlescreen).

4) It might be useful to integrate this with the robotic debugger when running from the editor.
