dMZX Forums: Support LOOPEND Ogg Vorbis tag -> Archived Requests -> Tracker

A few players appear to support a LOOPEND tag as an extension to the RPG Maker LOOPSTART/LOOPLENGTH tags and I think it would be a useful addition to MZX.

This would be more of a convenience/consistency feature, as 1) I've found it's slightly less work to get the end position of a loop than the length of a loop and computing the length just feels like an unnecessary extra step (or even obfuscation); 2) counters altering the Ogg Vorbis loop positions would likely read/write the start and end, not a start and a length, making the two ways of setting these variables inconsistent otherwise.

Finally, in situations where LOOPEND and LOOPLENGTH are both present, I think we should prefer LOOPEND.

EDIT: The question was brought up on Discord of LOOPEND being less than LOOPSTART (either through these tags or the aforementioned counters). In the event of this, LOOPEND should be considered invalid and be ignored.
