Don't know how useful this might be, but might as well detail it.
Right now, any multi-char block in the char editor shows the upper-left char number as the current char number. Perhaps the current char number listed should be the char currently containing the edit cursor. For block pixel selection, best behavior would probably be to just have it as the character containing the origin point (i.e. upper-left corner) of the block.

This seems like it'd be useful (particularly for tile mode) but I also think it should always display the top-left char. Wonder if there's a way to fit both without cluttering up the UI too much..
