Instead of fullscreening, on Debian Bookworm, running Xorg 7.7+23 with SDL 2.24.2+dfsg-1, desktop environment of Cinnamon 5.4.12-2, on an AMD Radeon RX580, MegaZeux blanks the screen and then comes back with a frozen version of the desktop in its place. MegaZeux appears to continue running (music plays etc) and proper function can be restored by hitting CTRL+ALT+ENTER again to return to windowed mode.

This is with auto_glsl, glsl, opengl1, and opengl2. Software and softscale also fail, but in a different way, leaving a maximized empty window.

I just installed a fresh copy of Debian 12 alpha1 with Cinnamon and I don't have this issue—it seems that they updated at some point. The version of Cinnamon is now 5.6.5-2 and the version of SDL is now SDL 2.26.2+dfsg-1. This might be an older Cinnamon or SDL bug (I'd lean Cinnamon given that pressing PrintScreen with MZX in fullscreen mode crashes Cinnamon).

Have now updated to those versions of cinnamon and SDL and still having the same issue.
