Well? I think Eva was a good show. I would like to see it on Adult Swim or some other mainstream TV. I mean, if Big O and Gundam can get on Toonami/Adult Swim/Cartoon Networks Brodcasting list, then Evas a shoe in, right?

I honestly think that the US should recieve more exposure to Eva. It's a good series.
Blaugh!
Serious damage to important body parts pretty much ruins any plans you had for living. Bummer.

Let's put this one in TV/Movies. And nah, I don't think Eva should be on Adult Swim, I've heard it's pretty much for the more hardcore anime people.

Well, that's not exactly what I meant. I've heard by at least a couple of very big anime fans that Eva would not be a good choice for a first anime; that it's not very accessible to the casual watcher. Adult Swim fares better with stuff like Bebop, Lupin, and Trigun.

Although I've never seen it, and it's showing on Adult Swim would give a fantastic and welcome opportunity to, I agree with Es that as a first anime it would scare off all the 11 year olds allowed to stay up that late. I've read about it. The rather climactic ending does not sound quite accessible to much of AS's immature audience.

Eva was the first anime series I had watched through, and even though I did find it highly enjoyable I don't think it's a good start to anime over all, because of the complicated story and all that. So no, I don't think it should be on adult swim.

wow. Three way tie.

And if the 11 year olds who stay up that late don't like it, tough fuckin shit. They shouldn't even be up that late or watching that programing.

I didn't care about that rule (the staying up late at night rule), besides, I was one of those who wanted to see evangelion since I was 10-11 or something like that. Thought it was only "Big mechs, big monsters, cool fights" type of anime... just a little (compared to the size of the sun) mistake. Glad I didn't see it two or three years ago.

Hmm...didn't they already show a few episodes on Cartoon Network a good while back? I don't think it got a very good reception, they only showed, like, six episodes I think. I only got to see the series because my friend had them all on his computer. I don't think it would be good to show them on Adult Swim, but maybe show two-four episodes on the weekends for the whole run of the series as a special thing. I dunno, I'm sleepy and my brain is slow.

I have no opinion on the topic of Eva on Adult Swim, I don't have cable anyways, but I do have to say that End of Evangelion is one of the funniest, most darkly comedic movies I've ever seen.

First off, there was plenty of nudity in Eva, IF you got untranslated stuff. There was also the homosexually suggestive content between Shinji and that k-word kid (forgot his name) who turned out to be an angle. That and the content of the characters past and why they do the things they do explained in the human instrumentation project stretch of episodes along with a lot of the story content in the original series is TOTALLY against the rules and regulations that CN has to follow even functioning as AS.

So NO, adult swim would censor the crap out of this, and anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about should seriously invest in getting a sub-titled uncensored full version of the Eva series. And as any anime fan knows censorship is bad... Just LOOK at what they did to dragon ball!!! (the original not Z)

That and the fact that they (the characters) remain solidly planted on the floor as the rocks around them float away in they're anti-gravity field.

And What the hell is up with all these freak'n levels!?

.. huh? I haven't watched that much Eva, but there was a significant amount of nudity in what I have seen. Are we watching the same Eva?

Perhaps it was an accident, don't be so crude Nadir.

Pointing out that it's topic revival and saying that it is bad is okay, but going so far as derogatory name calling doesn't help.
