This is a cry for help! I'm trapped in The most boring place on Earth. There's no Internet connection at the apartment (I'm sending this message from the library and I only have 30 MINUTES!!!), no cable, no fancy movie theaters, no friends to hang out with, NOTHING! What do I do!? Stay calm, Tix...

Oh MAN, how could this have happened to me? Sorry Es, looks like you're the only MZXer in Fort Wayne now. =(

With nothing there, it seems easy enough to take over yourself. So, just destroy the town, enslave the people, and force them to entertain you!

How far is Springfield from Chicago? I just recently went to Chicago and it kicks a lot of ass. I'd never run out of things to do there.

Well atleast you're not stuck in Crosstown, NC! It was founded 2 months ago! Someone bought 20 acres that had a private intersection and gas station, he constructed "The Crosstown Post Office" so that he could claim it a town, however since there are no residence of Crosstown there is no delivery route and no one can apply for a PO box, so the post office can remain closed indefinetely, He mans the gas station, When he feels like it, which is like NEVER. At which point he retires in his house in Charlotte! That's right, the bastard claims govenorship of a gas station, and doesn't even live there!

Why do you ask? Well, apparently govenors get federal income tax breaks. So due to a horrible loop hole, he gets tax breaks because he owns a gas station, abbandoned Post Office (shack), and a 4 way stop sign intersection! (Yeah they're for real!)

So if you're in North Carolina and see a laminated cardboard sign on a thin flimsy metal pole reading "Welcome to Crosstown", TURN AROUND.

Steal his stopsign.

I doubt Crosstown has any police.

Well, Crosstown is also a geological oddity in that it is COMPLETELY within another town, So the police of said other town would have jurisdiction over Crosstown.

However, Crosstown does have a dog, a fat dog, a lazy dog, a STUPID dog. It'll chase any car in the vecinity for about 5 seconds, get tired, stop and rest. I stopped for it once, it licked my tire, and sniffed my exhaust. I didn't get out of my car, you see, for I feared for my life! When his back was turned I FLED the scene as fast as my POS car would go, the dog wagged his tail as if to say "Next day we meet shall be your last! Oh and bring a squeeky toy!"

Yeah Crosstown is kind of lame. And when I say kind of I mean totally:/

Exo: I have no phone number. :(
Tecki: There are no fabulous fairs and festivals, they lied. :(
Revvy: I had to move to this......place. :(
Koji: Don't hijack my topic, this is MY pity party. :(

Now for a little bit more info on my predicament.

I live in an apartment building called the Lincoln Towers, on the 16th floor. Some guy had the bright idea to build this apartment complex right next to the railroad tracks. Forget about sleeping in, or sleeping at all because the trains are constantly blowing their whistles as they pass by, every 15 minutes. The doors open and slam shut by themselves. I suspect this has to do with the fact that the apartment complex was built over Lincoln's burial ground, causing it to be haunted by the ghost of Abraham Lincoln. By the way, here in Springfield, everyone is obsessed with Lincoln. They recently changed the name of their airport to the Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport. There's also the Lincoln Library, Lincoln Law OFfices, Lincoln's house, I'm too tired to think of all of them right now, darn trains.....Lincoln Night Joint I think..anyway, you'd think that with all of this Lincoln influence, the place would be a comical goldmine, but it isn't.

So that's the situation. I probably won't be online for a few more days. Guess that gives me just enough time to work on my game-spitting. Meh..

Heh, Lincoln.

That door open shut thing is due to WIND, boy! Especially in low barrometric pressure regions. the door will open as the air moves TO, then slam as the air moves FRO. Did you know wind moves to AND fro? Well now you do!

My advice on the matter, make sure the door is shut propperly. Oh and, I wasn't throwing a pitty party for me, hell I don't live in Crosstown, if anything the pitty party was for that dumb fat dog.

Enjoy.

Tix, how long are you in the apartments, or is that just where you live now?
