<Malwyn> Yes, yes. Don't worry I'd rather masturbate with broken glass than ask you for help again. :(

:(

If the results aren't released by the time I've completed this (which I'm sure will be a while yet), I'll probably just release this anyway.

Fate of the Grunges 2
This is a sequel to this game.

*There's 8 types of enemies and a total of 631 in this game. ^^
*There's 5 bosses too. They each have 32 hitpoints.
*You can buy powerups for your gun after collecting enough coins.
*There's an experience and leveling system.
*There's another use for stamina, it's an ability that you buy at the powerup shop.
*You aren't invincible like in Grunges 1, but the game is fairly easy if you level up enough.
*You live on the above ground (where everything is grey) a 480x150 board.
*I have 30 sounds or so that I'll use... (I could only use like 5 before, because of that bug)

As for those shortcuts I said I was talking about... The gameplay is about the same (except funnerer), you go to the place where Grunges 1 happened and half the levels are randomly generated.

This game will be shorter than I thought.
I've removed two levels which had a total of 224 enemies on them. It seemed like a pretty silly massacre.

85%

Though, I bet if I really tried my hardest I could finish this game tonight. :P

Stuff to do:
Implement the last powerup thing.
Above World board.
Complete the end boss.
Place Enemies, stairs & fix exits in all non-random levels.
Place all randomized levels.

edit: typo

Ugh. Too many enemies in ASCII just makes me sick. It's like, little squares keep bumping your square and your square flashes red. Enemies are good in MegaZeux, but thankyou ZoMbIeGuY for getting rid of those two levels. They sound bad.

Well, I haven't even made those levels yet :P. I just removed them from what I was planning to do.

Every randomized level has less than 64 enemies, except the last which has 128.

The randomized levels are 386x126 which is 48636 squares. I wouldn't think comparing 48636 to 128 squares for enemies is that much of a bad thing. :P

Designing the above world board is really boring :(. But once I get it done it'll be smooth sailing for completing the rest of the game.

I'm very, very close to completion. Though, I'm not going to release until the next version of mzx comes out due to the wav limit. (I doubt everyone has downloaded the build version)

I've started work on another game... not sure what exactly I'm going to do, but I've got some things planned in my head. Grunges 2 is at a point where I need the next version of mzx to continue production.

You go through levels picking up weapons and stuff that others drop when you kill them. I was thinking a Madnessy style, with a monochromic palette except for a few shades of red.
So far I've just made a sword engine :P, but the game will borrow a lot of Grunges 2.

Well I figured so. Your games always borrow enemies from stones n roks, and Megaman AOTTS. They are nice enemies, though. What kind of weapons are available? Or...will be available?

Yes, there's quite an amount of references in some of my games towards my other games... especially with "Da Arena" :P.

I really haven't done anything with this game. I probably won't until I've finished my pledged game.

I'm really lacking inspiration with mzx at the moment... the sad part about that is that I have a lot of free time on my hands and I'm almost dying of boredom. :(

I've finally fixed a small bug which had stopped me from working on this game for the past week. :)

It's been getting very hot and the heat has been destroying my mind. So progress will slow a bit. :P

I also won't be able to work on the game for two days due to having to visit relatives.

I could so totally have this finished in like 4 hours... but it'll probably end up being like 4-8 days. I suck. :(

I almost just had a heart attack. My mzx file died after my computer switched off for some reason while I was working on it. But luckily I found a backup in the recycle bin that's only two days old. :)

I've been having such strange bad luck with mzx files over the past few months...

I'm pretty much finished!
I might wait until the next version of mzx is released before I release this though.

At the moment there's just a few tiny bugs that I'm aware of and are a little hard to fix. Tiny as in few people would even notice them.
There's also another small bug with the port that I need to talk to exo about, later.

After the port bug is fixed, Micah is bugtesting.

Just so you people don't get your hopes high (although, I know you wouldn't, as I haven't really said much about it), this game is crap. :P
Exo worked the bug out, and now Micah is bugtesting real soon.
