The airboat sequence was a bit long, but it was pretty exciting, especially plowing through the waters, machinegun bullets bloody following you, and being completely unable to defend yourself.

1. My computer is too slow and still runs Windows 98 SE - I guess HL2 would need a much faster CPU. Does it require Windows XP like Doom 3 did?
2. Don't have the money. I don't even have a job.
3. Steam authentication required. Even if somebody else in my family bought the game, I'd have to play it on their computer because installing it on my computer wouldn't work.
Serious damage to important body parts pretty much ruins any plans you had for living. Bummer.

generally when someone starts a thread about some game they want to discuss the game, not listen to someone bitch about their shitty computer

<@Tixus> Anyway, I set the year to 1988 for some reason.
<@Tixus> And set the microwave to run for a minute and 28 seconds.
<@Tixus> But it failed to send me back in time, and I was disappointed.
<Insidious> Tixus accidentally microwaved the 80s
<Insidious> that is my takeaway from this

half-life 2 for the xbox was cancelled a while back

the xbox port of doom 3 coming out is crippled as hell and nowhere near as well-running as the PC version, and there's no way they can get half-life 2 on there. if they do it'd be waay in the future, but i'm pretty confident they won't, since they did cancel it a while back.

A bunch of you have recently been e-mailing us about Half-Life 2 for Xbox, and when it would be out if it is in-fact real. I decided to help you all out and get a official response from VALVe.
Doug Lombardi had this to say:
"We've only announced that we're doing an Xbox version -- not dates just yet."
There you have it, there is going to be a Xbox version but dates for it are unknown as of this time.

IMO, HL1 was better on PS2 than on PC... and that's just sad. :(
Either way, I'm not buying HL2.

Check out some of the animated cinema stuff showing off the source engine, it's pretty neat.

<Malwyn> Yes, yes. Don't worry I'd rather masturbate with broken glass than ask you for help again. :(
