How can you know?

I think I understand that when some people look at just these parts of the bible they think it a fiction, it seems like a faerie tale, however. The bible is notoriously vague in some things.

Things that you'd think, if it were a fiction, that they would be VERY descriptive, such as the end days and heaven and hell. But there are nothing but metaphors for these things. very descriptive metaphors... but metaphors still

Right... metaphors. Okay, Koji.

Quote

"7. And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 8. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. 9. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. 10. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. 11. And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon."

Eh heh. Metaphors. My theory is that John just had some choice shit here. I should be able to find some comparable passages in Tom Wolfe's almost timeless classic, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. And the quote is almost forum appropriate, too! Cool, eh?

Anyway, as for for the recent posts, the story sounds neat. And well written. Good writing is a rare thing in MZX games.

Asgromo, that would depend on how you might interpret that. Will there ACTUALLY be loucust? Or do these depictions mean something else?

After all this is all a VISION of John?s. And just as many other Visions in the Bible, I would suspect that each of these events outlined in the vision mean something different that the literal meaning...

Much like the dreams of Joseph signifying that one day his brothers would bow to him(The stars and his brothers wheat bowing to the moon and his wheat), and about the 7 years of plenty and 7 years of drought (The 7 skinny cow eating the 7 fat). And the prisoners fates, which I cannot recall at this time?

Another thing that is interesting about the Bible is how people have visions of things, and they do not know how to describe them, so they try to use pieces of what they know. Imagine being a cave man and trying to describe a helicopter.

EXACTLY.

Thanks Xirxes. That's exactly what I mean.

However, I think it's even more than that.

Like trying to communicate a thought between a modern man and a cave man... whoes brain, if you believed in the idea of evolution, is much smaller than our own and maybe doesn't have a grasp on what you are trying to say.

Aren't they kind of like beams with length? So those pinkish ones come from the ships with the three circles in them I guess.

"Kei, are you sure, one Configuration battleship yes, I can understand, but Kei, this is the entire massed force of the N.O. Configuration army. This is literally the gates of oblivion, armageddon at your doorstep!"

"... I know Yumie."

"Kei, there has to be anoth..."

"Yumie, you know this is the only path to the Configuration. Only through Pandemonium will this be finished."

"But... Kei!"

"Yumie, I'm releasing the N.O. System Control Locks on the Scythe Marionette."

"Kei, you can't, the levels of N.O. inside the ship will become hypermassive and you'll die!"

"And I suppose you have a better idea as to what I can do to defeat this fleet?"

"..."

"Command: Unlock, password: Solomon, disengaging control system Sandalphon, Gabriel, Michael, Haniel, Raphael, Khamael, Tzadkiel, Tzaphkiel, Ratziel, and rerouting all N.O. ACS system output to System Metatron. Execute command immediately."

"WARNING: N.O. LEVELS EMANATING FROM MARIONETTE DEEMED FATAL. ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO EXECUTE THIS COMMAND PILOT?"

"Yes."

***

"Sir, there's been a massive spike of N.O. levels 300 meters into the Forbidden Zone, and it's approaching Pandemonium! The N.O. rating is off the charts, current level is over 1,000,000 keter and rising!"

"What the hell is it?"

"Sir.... it's the Scythe Marionette."

Then we find out Apollyon isn't really making any game, only storyline.

By the way, my Y.E.S. levels are rising.

Can't you like use something so when it's coordiantes were between wherver it would match the background?

It wouldn't look right whichever colour it was using, in all likelihood. It's just taking the background colour, which happens to be 50% of the character, just as the foreground colour (or background if he reversed it to correct it) would also look wrong. If that made any sense.

Actually it would probably look better with the bg biased up, not down (like with the explosions).
