A Note About Artwork

It is permissable to post tasteful nude art, provided you include the disclaimer "(18+)" in your topic title. This is not the same thing as posting porn or other smut. Know and be mindful of the difference. If you are unsure of whether an image you wish to post is within the bounds of good taste, run it by an Admin privately first.

Alright, it's time for some more art. I'm not getting to the picture of Ler taking over the world from mini-cyberdemons, so I scribbled this out. It's done in pen. I've already told Wervyn I'm sorry. There's only so much time for certain things, I dunno.

And here's some others that I've done quite lately:

I call this one "Complete Random with some interestingings added." What are Interestingings? It's a word I made up. I suppose I got tired all the sudden of saying Interesting Things. So now I just might continue to say Interestingings. It pretty much sounds the same anyway.

So yeah, I like the two identical dudes, the smaller guy's hair, and the dog (I love the doggie).

This one's for Emalkay, and whoever else, who was wondering whether or not I had drawn anything lately. Well I have, and I continue to. I don't suppose I'll ever quite quit (nice alliteration, right?).

I like this old dude.

Hey neato. Like Doritos. Anyway if I can properly resize that I will use it as an avatar, as it's cooler than the first one of me.

I like these. The relation of all things random appeals to me. It reminds me of when I have one too many sugar cookies. I wonder why I can't do anything that good with a paper and pencil. . . I wonder how you would portray me so far. . . A mysterious cloaked figure in a forest of illusion or as pac-man about to eat the world? :p

Thanks a lot, guys.

Like I've said, I've been drawing my whole life; so it's hard now to find something to draw that relates to itself--I've done that so many times, and it can become boring. I could just be lazy. One time my cousin, who's an amazing artist, told me that someday I'd become interested in drawing real-life and/or still-life drawings. I can actually almost see that happening, but not yet. My art still thrills me, especially when there's an idea involved. That's where Sword of the Faithful comes in.

Now many of my drawings are either a single object that doesn't have to be related to anything else because nothing else is there, or there are several, unrelated images together on one page, either collaged and intertwined, or separated. The latter, put together to form one unrelated idea, is what I call random.

Ler; heh, that one isn't really meant to be made to an avatar, but if you want to, do it. It's much more violent than the first as well, isn't it? Heh, the inverted version shows all the blood. How negative... heh, heh. Get it? Get it?

Revvy; I like how you said, All of those have things about them I love. It's good to hear these are appealing. The doggie's name is officially now "shuggles".

Nova: It takes practice. Then, I wouldn't very much count my drawing process as "practice". I do it 'just for fun', as the subtitle of this thread suggests. An image of you might resemble Funkbrat's, only in a much more mature manner (kein offense to Funky of course); you'd appear more dignified, or something, I guess.

GMP: thanks. I might get to that.

Edit: Oh yeah, I drew a new and simple avatar of Iron Man. I kind of like it.

I suppose I shall ask the inevitable  : Could you draw me please? I like your drawings, almost completely random like mine. Great minds really do think alike! I like to fade into the shadows and not be seen at school if you want to have an easy challenge with drawing me or something like me. I suppose I should show a few of my artwork pieces. I'll put them up later. I await, your confimation of the challenge.

EDIT: In response to the post below. I'll try to put it up tomorrow. I want to see just exactly how good I can do if I push myself to the limit. Only not staying up all night though. :p

Ha! That's no challenge, just a petty activity to waste my time!

Kidding, kidding hehe.

Yeah maybe I'll do that sometime, but no promises now, as at the end of my drawing spree a couple months ago I became pretty untrustworthy. I'll see.

I encourage you to make an art thread of your own. That'd be cool.

Bramblekid can you draw me surrounded by hot babes, drinking a martini? So basically, my natural habitat.

Micah...a common specimen of American teenage guys. Sadly, enough images, whether photos or art, have been drawn on his subject.

Maybe someone could reduce the size of this picture and actually make it look good. I've just never really known how to do that.

edit: Sorry, it's huge.

This one goes out to Wervyn. He knows what it is.

Most likely almost nobody has any idea what this is. Oh well, they hopefully will soon.

Edit: It is Sword of the Faithful; I did this one in a short time...it didn't come out quite as I wanted.

Your SotF drawings are great, I love the detail you put into them. One suggestion, try opening up your drawings in Photoshop/Paint Shop Pro/Paint.NET (I think P.NET works for this, the benefit is that it's totally free), and find the Brightness/Contrast etc. controls and try making the images darker.

Oh, I guess I should've done it with this last one. I could have.

It was done with an HP pencil, peheh. With those, you've gotta press down really hard to get a dark line. Oh, and thanks for the comment. I always enjoy replies on this thread.

Yeah nice shadow work. Is he a cyclops? And if he is, why is he so close to that candle? He'll go blind if he's not careful.
