Epilogue

Wervyn sat in the corner, crying. "What's wrong?" I asked.
"No one likes me anymore!" he sobbed. "I just wanted everyone to be smarter about their humor, but everything I did just seemed to make them angrier!"
"Well," I replied, "sometimes that's just the way people are, you can't force people to be funny."
"Can I force them to stop trying to be funny?"
"Nope."
"Even if their humor is as unimaginative and pedestrian as a joke by scorch3000?"
"For some people that really is the best they can do, they just aren't talented enough to do better." I explained.
"But they're so BORING!" cried Wervyn, "isn't there anything I can do?"
"Well, you could always do something you think is humorous, and see if people start catching on to the joke."
"Will it work?"
"Probably not. But at the very least people might start paying more attention."

Anyway, I think we're done for now. I hope that, if nothing else, you've enjoyed this little adventure of ours, and if something beside that, have thought a little about posting without thinking. Of course, I'm a little disappointed in the climax, there was more escalation planned but the bunch of you were really a bunch of wet noodles with nothing to say, no hasty complaints, nor reveling in the joke, just a bunch of confused looks. You guys have really restored my faith in your ability to pay attention, for sure.
Parole season on "O RLY" is up, if you really want to look like an idiot that's your perogative, though be warned you may still be yelled at and/or have your posts creatively modified. It's all about having fun, so the one who has the most fun wins the game. (Maybe I should have really put everyone on Parole, the response from that realization would have been a lot of fun for me.)
