Yes I am indeed.

I am at UKC, which is proving to be pretty fun.

I had an awesome freshers week, but i wasted a LARGE PART of my 3 month budget on it (200 pounds anyone). But I was in a drunken stupor 90% of the time so it was awesome.

I joined the American football team too , Im a cornerback but Im not sure if i will be first choice this year because theres a fair bit of competition. But its well fun, although my back ached REALLY bad when i got home today.

So yeh, how you dudes been, I notice the general forum has wasted away.

Hi. My name is Space Powo.

I apologize for making another account mainly because I lost my password and the email address I registerd with. But I swear to god this will be the last time I create an account on this forums.

If you don't know me, I used to be the guy who released some offensive ZZT titles back in 1999, such as "Electric Booby Boy", "EATMY" and something like that.

I have never gotten around to finish my MZX title such as Kenneth's Quest.

So where was I these days? Well starting in Summer 2001, a massivly online multiplayer game called Jumpgate caught my eye and have been hooked on that game for years until their online numbers started to drop to a new low(around 25-40 players at peak time, used to be 300 people). I still have screenshots of that game I played in the past. Ah yes good old times.

As of today, I'm trying to make a 3D game or small ones something like that.

Edit: I may reconsider using MZX but I will be using the default as not in the defauly mzx character sheet but the MS style one, and mabie original colors mainly because I am way to lazy to edit the character maps.

Yo! The name's James Woodall [yes, I'm the author. no, i don't need/want fans atm =P well, okay maybe a few more].

I can't -believe- that I found ZZT! My god, I must've been six years or eight years or somewhere around there years old when I first played around with it! Wow. That was 'back in the day' for me; back when you couldn't find anything on the internet except VIA keyboard and there were still games like Gorilla!

Haha! Okay, I'll stop rambling. So in any case, I found MZ and I'm -dying- to get my hands on it and run with it for a while. Unfortunately, I'm ADHD so that means I can't do projects for a long time [the longest project I've ever done is my book series, so far three years in the making and not one published].

I'm sure that my girlfriend will not be happy about this, though, because that means that the book that I promised to send out to an agent to look over and see if I should publish it will be delayed by me wanting to put my darn books on ZZT!

Wow. So happy to meet you all and you can be sure that I'll at least make an -attempt- at learning the programming language again. Man, am I bad at it! Well, nice to meet you all, I'm going to go back to me lil' hidey-hole and figure out what my first [crappy] project is going to be in this cool new thing.

EDIT: Quick note. I'll need -lots- of help. I'm sure that I'm VERY rusty with the ZZT engine and old-skool graphics, considering I haven't had an engine to do them on since the Age of Night Owl CDs! [I still have a few, and one just so happens to -still- have Scorched Earth on it; I guess I'm lucky! =D]

How god damned careless of me. There's an intro kind of post. My name is Brian Cleveland. I made some quote unquote released things years ago, and it makes me feel old. Thank god there's some of you older-than-me-bastards still around, cause I love you dearly. I think (*think*) that I found megazeux about 9-10 years ago. wow. And that was while tossing ZZT and MZX back and forth ( I finally came to my senses.)

I made the Endless Journey Hype so long ago, Buck Russel(ZZT), the Hidden Anomaly shortie, Ethen's Quest (part one in a multi-part that I still have the brief next part to), and literally about a hundred short, unfinished, incomplete, and otherwise sunk games and engines... not to mention a new puzzle-ish rip off kind of game lately. And a few games that are under my wing as I speak.

Forgive my anti-brevity.


edit: and the James Woodall name seems familiar to me, though I may have it mixed up with James Woods.

Yo Brian. -You- feel old about that? :CRY!: Mine would've been... oh dang... yeah, about eleven or twelve years ago. I never encountered MZX until now, I fiddled around with ZZT alot [didn't release anything, believe me it wasn't worth playing in any case].

And you're very prolific compared to me! I've yet to finish a singular game, though I've started about forty incomplete projects across multiple platforms, game engines, genres, and so on and so forth ranging from RPG old school to [in my youth] some ZZT games that were unreleased like 'Cool' and 'Warm.' They're somewhere on my hard drive, old and busted as it is, and I just might upload them for you guys to laugh at [oh ho, comedy night!].

I'll check into those games you listed; I might've downloaded one or two of them. If so, I credit you with a great deal of due credit towards my book series, which all began when I discovered ZZT, loved everyone else's games, couldn't make my own, and so simply wrote them out in notepad [in Windows 3.11].

EDIT: I hope I'm not familiar! =D Unless you frequent OurMedia or have read a copy of my book somewhere [The Apprentice of Farhymn, book one of the World of Serzahnk series] then I really shouldn't ring a bell.

Oh, quick request for the boards here. Don't google my username or, for that matter, Firgof Umbra. I shall smite you for dwelling in my internet histories.

We could use some new folks to liven the place up a bit (as it stands, some of the forums haven't been posted in for over a week - and some haven't been touched at all).

wildweasel: I think I tried doing that with my REALLY old games once (called it rejects.zip, I believe). I'll have to consider what would be worthwhile and what wouldn't. For some of them, I just hang on to them for the very very faint chance that I might continue (or borrow from) them.

I suppose I can toss that idea round my head.

The book is available through OurMedia and the Internet Archive, yes. I don't intend on finishing it in its entirety. I'm already working on the first draft of the next book in the series so I'm expecting that one to fare better and be well received rather than the one that is currently up [which I believe a chore to read].

And you all are excused. I do have an interesting array of postings. At least you did not google my other name, Firgof. It's a unique word and I tend to use it almost everywhere I go so it pretty much tracks me through google and where I've been. Not necessarily a good or bad thing but still.

I just might do that, sir, but most of mine are one level monsters [really good first level, nothing after that].
