Stephi's ArtRage stuff got me to dust off the ol' Wacom and sketch a little summin'. I was doodling, and in the middle of drawing it, I thought, "Wow, this would make a great CD cover." And it was so. If you or any of your friends want it, let me know and I'll label it and stuffs.

I don't need it, but I like this picture. I didn't know you could sketch. I hope you don't mind me asking, what did you use to draw this? Besides inverting it.

Anyone can sketch; not everybody can do it worth a damn.

Micah can apparently sketch worth a damn because I like that drawing. One and a half thumbs up (my other was lost in a horrible accident that involved a lawnmower and a pack of Tic-Tacs).

To start off, I didn't invert it. I started with a black background and used some grey watercolors to get the shape going, and then I used the pen tool with some white to get the outline, and used the fingertip to get the shading right. Open Canvas 4 was my software of choice for this one, btw.

EDIT: Also in my first post instead of ArtRage it should be ArtPad.

I started on a portrait today. It took me a while to find an appropriate reference photo that showed all the correct lighting, but when I finally did it helped a lot. This is what I have so far. I used Photoshop for this one. Other than coloring the background black, it was all done using the burn and dodge tools.

Oooh, I like this one a lot. I like the first one, but this second one is veeeery nice. That's a hard angle to draw a face from, a lot of people I know can't seem to pull it off, but you're doing it just fine. I can't wait to see it finished.

Oh! my bad dude, I was sure it was inverted.

I like this one, mostly do to the view angled straight up his nose, and the shaded eyes. So besides inverting it, how'd you do this? just kidding tahah.

Since I can't really start a new thread for this stuff, I'll just revive this one. All of the following were done entirely in photoshop:

A planet that I rendered a couple weeks ago...
My first attempt with vector art, did some mushrooms because they're easy to do and mushrooms rock!

ALSO

You get the opportunity to see some of the best poop road >:D sightings!

Linkin Poop
Poopfect Dark
Look closely at the owl's face...

Hope you enjoyed!

Zany! I like the mushrooms... They're mushrooms. Also your photoshops are not bad at all but the lack of road >:D is a mild problem

also the poopowl is nifty

Wow, that planet is awesome. :D

It'd look better if the background was a bit more interesting though, the stars are a bit of a let-down.

that planet is really damn good.

i have saved it to my hd as venus.jpg because it looks like the surface of venus! or the game over screen from axelay where you fail to stop the aliens and they kill the planet and everyone dies and it's ALL YOUR FAULT >:D

What the heck do you do when you have 5 minutes of free time and no way to spend them?

Probably something like this.

Very cool, but the light flares would be cut off awkwardly. :D
