Fun. Probably your best one so far.

<@Tixus> Anyway, I set the year to 1988 for some reason.
<@Tixus> And set the microwave to run for a minute and 28 seconds.
<@Tixus> But it failed to send me back in time, and I was disappointed.
<Insidious> Tixus accidentally microwaved the 80s
<Insidious> that is my takeaway from this

Use headphones on this one, it's just not wonky on speakers.

I thought I might do something with it later, but that's .. rather unlikely as I'm completely and utterly uninspirable.

ack.ogg
interesting percussion. i like the melody instrument, and the brief 3-against-4 part was also nifty. sounded really cool once it picked up speed.

mooo.ogg
the first thing i thought when i heard the first half-second was "descent!" nice chippy sound. i like it =)

wip.ogg
heh, stereo seperation is fun to play with, isn't it? the main instrument was also nifty. tecki's right; it does almost sound like a doom track...

heh, almost like a jazz jackrabbit song. nice beat to it, and the instruments are nifty. nice to hear you branching out into more understandable chord progressions =)

the pattern that the chords follow in the piece. the bassline is usually closely tied to the chord progression.
for a good example, boot up cs_ditz.mod and listen to the first couple patterns. that's pretty much the chord progression of the song right there.

but yeah, i was just saying i liked the way that the song went =)

I don't hear any chord progressions in Discolor, although the main melody repeats.

I thought chords were three or more non-unison notes played at the same time. Sounds like a "melody progression" to me.
Need a dispenser here.

You could sort of play the different notes in a chord and, making a melody, progress with that. But I suppose that's more like a loop, yeah.

heavy - yeah, pretty heavy. nift melody and the synths weren't bad for heavy music. pretty good overall.

cja: yes, a chord is three or more notes, usually in a 1-3-5 interval. but songs don't always have pounding chords in the background. sometimes it's a little more subtle, like strings or even a single piano playing notes that make up the chord.
and you're right; in discolor i guess it's not so much a "chord progression" as a melody line that follows one. still, nifty song =)

wow, um, it sounded at first like the theme for an evil clown (almost like kefka) and then it went all dark and mysterous. nice background synth.

Yeah, the background synth was a sine wave, with the reverb turned up really high :D A little dark and mysterious I guess.

almost like a cross between ambient and dance. nice, though. the drums seemed to die off a little too quickly for such a nifty buildup.

Digital is fucking awesome. The first apageclip I could honestly call a song. Coherent beginning, middle, and end. Its even got a sort of chorus to it.
