THERE WAS PIZZA TO BE GAINED

There was pizza to be gained,
at Puccini's in Fort Wayne.

Oval oaf from rain of red,
Showering tomatoes fled,
While Zorba baked in ovens hot,
And Giacomo would share the spot,
Puccini schlepping round and flat,
Juggled pies and tow'ring hat,
Laser guns and slice of nose.
Vaporizing Hobo Joes.

Scamorza was bequeathed,
at Puccini's Smiling Teeth.

Fort Wayne's feigned
Interest waned.
Puccini's went
Down the drain.

Puccini's cursed Fort Wayne!

To soggy sauce and feeble crust,
Pizza cutters lost to rust,
Pale ales mostly skunked,
Indian legends all debunked,
Overturning smiling mouth,
Hobo Joeth inthide your houth.
Pyle paintings pulled by goons.
Anchovies in pantaloons.

There was pizza to be gained.
Wasted all upon Fort Wayne.

Next Midwestern MZXer Summit must be in Indianapolis, or Bloomington. For it is there that Puccini's pizza is still to be gained =)

But yeah, Fort Wayne will get what it deserves for letting their own Puccini's go out of business - not having Puccini's anymore, I think, is a fitting punishment, happily enough.
