It's not a problem of putting the protocol into mzx that's easy, the problem is how do you set it up within mzx so that at least 33% of mzx'ers are capable of utilizing it properly.

just make a players in mzx, when there is new user (in options, when disconnected, player can edit it's char and color :(
admin can set kicks, bans, ops, and topic visible...
More ideas i post in mzx ideas topic and latest network support topic iin MegaZeux development...
I would use it first...
And i give an OP and specials in WoM for that guy, which makes online mzx :(
and it would have some new variables:
readonly PLAYER_AMOUNT: players amount
rw MAXPLAYERS (for admin it's rw) = sets max. player...
...
...
...
Huh.

That is horribly limiting, and probably ONLY useful to taro-esque games :(

*smacks forhead*

very few people will get an mzx offshout version for ONE game, and no one wants to pollute the main verstion line with limited use garbage.

IOW, you're making a whole mzx version JUST for your game.... that's stupid.

... :(

Okay uhhh, let me try to explain.

NetMZX is not going to happen, whether you want it to or not. Would it be fun to have? Yes. But it's just far too much work and it's far too pointless to go through all that trouble just so 1 or 2 mzx games will have internet access.

So! I'll put it simply: It's not going to happen. Stop begging.

Of course I've just paraphrased what everyone else here has said but maybe if enough people tell him no he might get the hint!

It'll only happen if you fork MZX and make it happen.

I Know, Tox.
And i see blockland, guys tell me on irc, it's great, BUT FOR 3D worlds.
and you need to download 74 MB!
and you need a fast PC!
I would make that, but it would take uhh... 20 years? (i not know C/C++)
BUT:
ONE:
NO ASIEKIERKA GAMES
UNTIL NETMZX, ok?
or
TWO:
Make external programs to that, and use file access to communication, ok?
Huh.

Maybe the thing to do is get to the heart of the problem;

Why are you so hell-bent on network capabilities in MZX anyway?

Asiekierka, no one would use this. Ever.

It would not replace IRC, and it would not replace MZX.

GIVE UP.

Yeah - there's a term in programming circles that might apply, "reinventing the wheel." I guess this could be a weird case of that. See, it'd take you a lot of fancy MZX footwork to be able to match a traditional IRC client - and likely, you wouldn't be dealing with anywhere near the speed or flexibility, or customizability. I guess this is like reinventing the wheel with the wrong tool. The bottom line is just nobody would really care to use it except for a five-minute ha ha this is cute sort of jaunt, even if you got it pretty good.

The other consideration - it's not a good idea, really, to make plans around features that don't exist yet. Especially those that probably aren't going to exist. Sorry =|

I might be able to understand you if you SPOKE ENGLISH.

I mean jesus, I know you're nine, but this is a good place to start. Please keep in mind that the fora is not direct conversation - you don't have to shoot shit out of your mouth at the speed of light. My point is that you could take A LITTLE BIT OF TIME to make your posts freaking legible.

For example:

i know you plastic not working i will use
does that good?
no i think it will be yes
you should be thinking maybe i will help with plastic netmzx new version taro blah blah blah etc

This is not a quote, but this is what you sound like EVERY TIME YOU TYPE SOMETHING. Wait, that doesn't work; text doesn't make sound. Unless you have a narrator... Meh, but anyway.

From the gist of the large chunk of your posts I have managed to sort of grasp... no, I really have no idea what it is you're trying to do. Seriously, rephrase this:

Quote

So i make a bad idea going here, i need to tell.
AND NO IDEAS HERE. GIVE ME HELP!
*tries to destroy that s****d thread* !!!!!!!!!!!
JUST, why i'm making wom with no netmzx?
For wHat is that here?
I don't know. My idea for it is written.
SO, Why i make WoM!?!?!?!

so it makes sense. PLEASE. No one can give you serious criticism/support if they have no damn idea what you're saying. I mean, does this make sense to you? Seriously?

Don't just give me any ideas of how to change World of Megazeux, help me!

Quote

*tries to destroy that s****d thread* !!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I could destroy this stupid thread.

Quote

JUST, why i'm making wom with no netmzx?

Why should I bother making World of Megazeux at all if Megazeux lacks network capabilities?

Quote

For wHat is that here? I don't know. My idea for it is written.

Afterall, what else is there in World of Megazeux apart from what will require network support? I don't know--I've already posted my ideas for World of Megazeux and they need networking support.

Quote

SO, Why i make WoM!?!?!?!

So why should I bother making it? I can't make it without network support! It simply would not be World of Megazeux, because World of Megazeux fundamentally requires these capabilities. That's the whole point.

I will be quiet, If i see MegaZeux with all the network capabilities i need.
That would can make a variety of other style of chats. (e.g. Chuckania one)
But, i wanna make a new game, until i don't see Megazeux with all network capabilities.

Thanks Lancer-X.

See, now that's a lot better.

Okay, I had thought about network implementation without a patch via file-reading/writing, but that would be quite nearly impossible because there would be conflictions if the file was being read by two bots on different machines at once etc and the user would have to set up a specific drive and yeah it would be slow and worthless.

To get mzx to actually support networking would require nearly a complete overhaul of mzx. Not only does no one want to do this, but there are more important things to happen first.

Please stop stamping your feet and expecting something to happen. We are not your parents, and I highly doubt that Exo has the time (in between work/college - yes, we are real people) to implement this (or redux mzx), let alone some else who has the talent and the knowledge of the source.

In other words, stop making these ridiculous demands of the community. Seriously, you're being very selfish. If you don't like mzx, why don't YOU implement netmzx? What, you can't? JOIN THE CLUB. In the mean time shut up.

Why i CAN'T?
I don't know language in which MZX is programmed (i think it's c/c++/ASM)
And if me need to do netmzx, we not need to make complete remake (as i think), if we integrate IRC client with MegaZeux (LOL)
Huh.

It's just C now. Don't let the .cpp extension fool you--that's just there for.. some reason. I forget what it is now.
