Oh dear the whole "sarcasm on the internet is useless" argument.

Chezzy, the creation corner is used to post about stuff you have or will create that do not constitute an mzx game or a release of mzx. In the case that you are posting a complete game, you post in game releases, if you are posting about a game you are working on you post in journals. And if you are posting about a release of mzx, you post in the development forum.

A few people have been able to successfully pass off mzx content as creation corner material, IE: logicow, but they only accomplish this because what they are making ISN'T a game.

Anyway, sarcasm on the internet:
Sarcasm can be detected on the internet, you have to take into consideration the person saying it, the context it's being said in, and the sound of what is being said...

1) If the phrase in question doesn't seem to reflect a persons usual beliefs and maybe even is in blatant contrast to them, they are probably being sarcastic.

2) If the phrase seems oddly placed, or you have to stop and think about the conflicts involved with it to the subject at hand, it's probably sarcasm.

3) If the phrase when repeated allowd sounds silly, or even stupid it's probably sarcasm.

Now... apply these rules of sarcasm detection to what just happened here

Okay now, here in skylarks post we see a line of thought, that simply doesn't work. He says that the game journals is for games in progress, and that the creation corner is for art, stories, ideas, etc. Then he asks where would he post something about a game being worked on.

At this point the answer to the reader should obviously be Game journals, since it follows the line of logic outlined, however he defies his logic and says Creation corner.

This is a great example of Sarcasm Detection in that it examplifies all 3 rules outlined to detect sarcasm. This specificly is also what we call blatant logistical sarcasm. It doesn't rely on voice inflection or tone, and is obvious even in text form because it is based on constructing a logical patern to justify an illogical answer according to the constructed logic.

Therefore, ... yeah.
