To lighten the load on you dialup freaks, I'll just be updating this "progress report" image whenever I want to share a screenshot, instead of clogging the thread with them:

I may have went a little overboard with the whole transparent PNG garbage, but oh well. Check the progress image.

<@Tixus> Anyway, I set the year to 1988 for some reason.
<@Tixus> And set the microwave to run for a minute and 28 seconds.
<@Tixus> But it failed to send me back in time, and I was disappointed.
<Insidious> Tixus accidentally microwaved the 80s
<Insidious> that is my takeaway from this

OH.
WHAT'S THIS.
IS THAT AN INVENTORY ENGINE
After a night of work, the inventory engine is complete. You have 256 inventory slots, and the interface is like mzx's color picker, but with inventory and not color. The descriptions can be any size (as long as they fit in a string) because the description window now SCROLLS if the description is bigger than it (this is shown in the progress screenshot)!

EDIT: no, just checked the progress image. You sure were able to fit all those slots in well guy, I'm amazed (but I'm not counting them).

<Malwyn> Yes, yes. Don't worry I'd rather masturbate with broken glass than ask you for help again. :(

<Guy> i should get to work making the inventory engine infinite
<Guy> since there's always a slight possibility that you'll somehow manage to get more than 256 items!
<asiekierka> no
<asiekierka> 32767.
<asiekierka> there isn't a possibility you get MORE THAN THAT.
<Guy> what if they player got more than 32767 items, asiekierka
