Graphics and board work aren't quite my forte in all honesty so I guess I'm out. Although I'm a decent programmer, haven't got the hang of sprites yet but I can probably do some programming work or just do what I always do in group projects and sit on my banana lounge sipping Pepsi while watching all the others work >_>

Thanks for the boss suggestion Fighter_Phil but i don't want any food bosses.
and goshi if you are willing to make anoher boardfile here's an idea "santa's workshop" or "the area outside the workshop" and if you use editted chars(char edit or not) please use an chr file(i don't want overwritten chars(i think you know why))

This game shouldnt be realeased, and CAN NOT BE RELEASED AND WILL NOT BE, unless it has a cheezel boss!

EDIT: I can still help though ;)

I'll start work on the two enemies you wanted me to create. You mention not modifying any chars. Does this mean you've already got a customized charset made?

If so you should send me that or just let me work in the graphics, and i'll keep sending you the updated Charset.

Why not? just becouse i don't want a food(cheezel, or any other food product(the most common food in the game are cookies(with milk) and are healing items :p)) boss? and the help is more than welcome :p.

yes i'm trying to create some charsets on my own(and kinda failing :().
but i'l give something better an nearly blank(stripped for any unused char(builtin enemies, weapons and such) that wa you have an decent working space for your chars also the"LEEG" char is used as an empty(the translation of that word :/) char for the overlay things by char edit(to 0 0 0 etc. etc.) and the standar thin web chars have been editted(+ some extra chars) to match your example for the battle menu but i also removed my arrows.(currently redesigning them.) also T-bone6 could you add your 3 none smily chars and the alreaddy shown enemies. other members can also create enemies , area's, background etc. etc. (but i'l do most non charwork myself ;))

world map 1 1%(only 1 palce aded yet and theire wil be a few more places and the encounter engine still needs to be written(the biggest thing on the entire map))

The thing that needs to be done most are worldmaps, towns and houses(dungeons).
So i think the best thing for you to do is boards.
also note that if you do an worldmap i need to know the names of the places you've added.

and good luck both of you ;)

nuit blanche

EDIT: sorry for spamming. This was a request within your thread.

My screening will be at 12:00pm today EST for anyone in Toronto. The screening will take place in the Rainbow Cinema; I shall be home around 3pmish. So I'll have some time to start working on those chars for you merder.

Should i just send you what I got first?

well going to more then one charset.
but i can use what you've got sofar so you can send it.
also thire will be more then 1 background. but with those i'm gonna use copy block. same counts for the enemies but with them i'm gonna use 1 robot per enemy(example if there are 5 obdiminal swoman's there still is just 1 snowman robot) and that robot uses the snowman copy(copy block) command ;).

[edit]some info abou how i'm gonna place foes.

the view is like in many rpg's only things facing south will reveal what they have(an book case example if facing south you can see the books or other tings in it).

and in the workshop there need to be:
  • Bookcases.(with books and the "Naughty and nice list")
  • Toy making machinery.
  • a comfy chair.
  • a kitchen.(they need to eat too :()
  • workbenches.
  • a seperate living area.
and for the rest use your Santa imagination ;)
