Its been a while since I have been around. Or done anything MZX for that matter. The old schoolers might know some of my games. (Fiona's Sepulcher, Hamlet, Hamlet 2)

Anyway, Rawhide C and myself decided to make a game for old time's sake. Heres the rundown.

**Hamlet 3**

It takes place after the second iteration on Christmas Eve. A worm hole has opened in the sky, sucking up Santa along with Christmas cheer, and spewing 4 bosses.

You control Hamlet, the Son of Hamlet, and Ghost(the end boss in 1 and 2) Together you seek to restore Christmas cheer by wrapping up items(i.e. Rocks, Snowmen, Birds, Prostitutes, etc.) and distributing them to children.

The graphics and gameplay are much improved over the first two. For the first time the graphics are made in reference to 2x2 characters and the game will allow you to switch between Hamlet and his son.

Rawhide C and myself are working hard on the game, and hope to have it done in the next couple weeks.

It will probably be the last MZX game we make but who knows, I think I have said that before.

This epic Shakespearean adventure is becoming somewhat surreal

Becoming? It always has been surreal. But I know what you mean.

Quick update:

Rawhide and myself decided to make a few changes to the story and gameplay for fluidity and graphical reasons.

Things Changed:

-The christmas theme has almost completely been removed.

-No more switching between players

-Tweaked animations

-Junior(son of Hamlet) has been sucked into the 'Worm Hole' and Hamlet has to save him.

The game is still a several weeks away, but it is going to be a great conclusion to the trilogy.

ALSO:

I was just wondering:

how many people would like a Fiona's Sepulcher Remake?

I want to remake it with better graphics and no bugs. I guess depending on how many people would be interested, I would consider re-making it.

Um, I wouldn't mind. Of course I'd also like to see it done. Not that I can talk much, as my epic RPG track record is pretty much 0-for-n.

I think that finishing the game would be much better than improving the graphics, but it depends on what you wanted to do.

I hit a few snags with Hamlet 3. But things are still progressing pretty well. Here's a quick update.

Currently there are:

11 enemies

3 bosses

3 different areas

I want to make at least 1 more area and 1 or 2 more bosses. Compared to Hamlet 1 and 2, the graphics are a lot better, and the controls aren't nearly as stiff. I might release a demo in a couple weeks. But at this rate, I should have the game done by March.

Here is the status so far. I have hit some major snags, as can be seen in the Robot discussion, however, here is a screen and a couple updates.

-Had to remove 2 enemies and 1 boss for space and functionality.

-If I can fix the bugs, I just have to finish 3 more areas and 2 more bosses.

Here is a screen.

Next time please use .GIF or .PNG for screenshots.

JPEGs are only recommended for photo images. Anyway looking pretty good. The bushes are neat.

For some reason, I think that bee is like those bees from Sonic games.

Though I guess that means you're trying to work on enemy variety. Something that the two games did lack.
