<@Tixus> Anyway, I set the year to 1988 for some reason.
<@Tixus> And set the microwave to run for a minute and 28 seconds.
<@Tixus> But it failed to send me back in time, and I was disappointed.
<Insidious> Tixus accidentally microwaved the 80s

Here's my current desktop:

As you can see, I finally disabled the Windows XP theme :p
And I cleaned off about half of my desktop icons.

My last desktop sure didn't last long, as I switched to a different theme in my OpusOS Visual Style and decided to make a matching KwikStrip skin and abstract wallpaper in Photoshop CS.

I've used devil's pie to run gnome-terminal with screen in the background on the desktop. Neat or what?!

And here's my current desktop after I cleaned up some of the icons I never use and after I changed the boring background that was on there.

This is really the only way I can think of to really show off this desktop. I took two Alan Wake screenshots (awesome looking game, by the way) and spliced them together on my dual monitors. The left monitor is at 1280x1024, the right one (the TV) is at 1360x768, making the wallpaper clock in at a whopping 2640x1024 pixels (though there is a 1360x48 pixel white space because that part is never seen on screen).

Time to show off!!!!!
on the left
on the right

Using Synergy to share mouse and keyboard between computers. On the left is Ion 2 under Linux. It's a pretty awesome tiling, tabbed window manager. On the right is Windows 2000 Pro and Opera, which is, by the way, totally better than Firefox.

Background images are for suckers!

You don't even have to rewrite them. They're working to support more toolkits. I know Qt is mostly supported, for one, and I'm pretty sure that even things like Motif work right. All you have to do is *gasp* compile it yourself and use the appropriate settings.
