The only wi-fi games I have are Tetris DS and Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin. And I don't really like Tetris - I was planning to trade it in.

Same here. I really don't know why I don't like it.

[off-topic] Also one day I just randomly chose to do a 2P standard match online with a random dude. He kept getting 2x2 blocks (even though the Next display disagreed greatly!) and pretty much put them randomly around the screen, beating me of course. I was pretty bewildered. Must be some sort of patch or hack or something.

It's most certainly a hack. That sort of crap is already happening with Mario Kart DS, and especially Metroid Prime Hunters (which was one of the reasons I traded my copy in months ago - the others being just how dumb the single-player mode was, and how much the control scheme hurt my hands).

... How the hell can they pull that off? o_o

And dammit, you had Metroid Prime Hunters? I've been wanting to play a match with someone who had that ...

Er ... Weasel, mind adding your friend code for Castlevania if you have it? That's what the thread's for after all ...

Might I add, I think this "friend code" system is complete rubbish.

My thoughts exactly.

At least if it were a console code, like with the Wii -- where one code does all -- it would be a lot better.

I thought the Wii friend codes were per-game as well?

I also decided to pin this thread so it doesn't get lost.

From what I understood of it, the friend code system works by generating a code combination unique to a DS and game pak set.

I should hope not, seeing as each Wii console already has a unique ID (basically, a 16-digit friend code). If games don't just use that then Nintendo really needs to rethink their online strategy.

Seriously, does it hurt to look things up once in a while? (This is just general annoyance speaking...questions like yours tend to crop up a lot)

None.
I don't have Nintendo DS/Nintendo Wii.
And i don't have GameBoy Advance too (though planning to buy it for my PET-GBA project, for all silly MegaMan Battle Network/MegaMan NT Warrior fans)...
Huh.

I have Mario Kart DS, CJA. I'll go to a Nintendo Hotspot once I guess.

And I'm going to buy Contact when it comes out, too.
