Chiptunes rule! Keep tracking Kom! :(

Milky tracker is supposed to be a pretty nifty tracker for chiptunes. I know that it allows you to draw the waveforms aswell.

I've never used it myself though, it's pretty awkward to get used to.

Also, Chezzy, I track too. I use jeskola buzz tracker. Tracker with vst support but a tracker nontheless.

I am used to it already.

Just in case there's any misunderstanding, what I mean is that your tunes won't fit into my game, kom. I like your tracks! But for Plehn I'm looking for Techno and stuff like that.

like in that one impossible game you used hobbes.mod, in Worldz you used chillrom.mod... gameboyish, hah.

I may have been using the wrong word when I said gameboyish, it's the best I can describe them as.
Also, one impossible game? I thought they were all impossible :(

I guess that my songs probably wouldn't fit into your game well, cyour game looks a bit above chiptunes. But, that's, like, the only music that I'm at all good at soo... Oh, and Milky Tracker is pretty neat. It beats MadTracker hands down. But, one thing that I can't figure out is all the effect numbers and what they do. :(

Keep working on Plehn, though. I think it will be a wonderful game.

Here's a list of effects: http://web16.http.nx...ffects_list.zip

Also, I found this chiptune tutorial, and I am reading over stuff I don't know already. http://web16.http.nx...-techniques.zip

There are a lot more tutorials (a lot are video ones!) at http://www.milkytracker.net/?DOWNLOAD

Good practice is opening a MIDI in another tracker that can import MIDI (MPT), and then making a chiptune out of it by copying the notes.

Also, no game is "above" chiptunes, they're still widely used in all sorts of games. Except uh medieval fantasy crud. A plane game just needs more ambient string stuff.

Anyway, I guess we should give CHEZZY his journal back, so keep on tracking!

Okay this journal hasn't been touched in a short while but I'm back to say that I've been working on the Plehn engine, and it's all good so far. I'm also made a lot more on the world map, planned a few more secrets and side quests and completed both 2 enemies. I'm also going to allow Grunts to attack the Plehn to make it a bit more of a challenge. I'll keep you all updated!

Also to anybody who wants to take anything else feel free to take take take! Don't stop at Plehn, Jello and SP are also open for grabs. (I'm being sarcstic, don't pull any stunts. PM me if you would like anything, I'll probably say yes.) :(

Still a bit sore about not patenting the airplane, I see.

On a somewhat more serious note, it sounds like this game is coming along pretty well. When are we going to see some more screenshots?

Looks like I won't be getting you any screenies and they won't be soonies. I have officially stopped working on Plehn, for various reasons including a buggy and frustrating engine, lack of motivation and lack of ideas. But instead of just binning everything, I will be using many of the working engines for a new game, "Oppo's canyons", which may be the start of a series (but I'm not making promises.) It should be easy to make, seeing as I already have the engines, palletes and char sets. I have also planned some stuff down on paper. PLAN, PEOPLE! It really helps, I'm serious. :(

I will also make a new space for Zeuxbox. YAYZ
