I'm dedicating much of my gaming time these days to my copy of Izuna, and Mercenaries for the PS2 (which I almost forgot that I had). I just bought my brother a DS of his own, so hopefully we'll be doing some multiplayer action in the near future.

How is Izuna? I think Etrian Odyssey is sorting out my dungeon fix though.

Mercenaries on ps2 is great but really slow.

If you've played any of Chunsoft's Mysterious Dungeon games, then you'll probably feel right at home with Izuna. The dungeon is random every time you enter, the movement and combat are all turn-based (when you move, they move), and perhaps my favorite part is the customizable weapons. There are plenty of weapons to choose from, but you can also customize them by sticking talismans (talismen?) on them for added effects. Alternatively, just use the talismans by themselves to cast magic.

It's also quite silly.

Odin Sphere is OK but pretty frustrating... the character's recovery time is just soooo sloooow... you run out of stamina, expect to wait like 10 seconds getting your ass pwnt while enemies attack you. Same if you get dizzied or frozen. Some of the boss battles get really frustrating because of this. I'm mostly playing for the graphics, I'll say.

now i just have to find a decent iso to download so that my intro movie works...

also metal gear solid, but i'm pretty much to the point where i'm going to give up on the annoying final boss because i already know the ending and it's not worth an hour or two of pain and suffering in that stupid fight.

Nothing is as fun as that game in Co-Op Multiplayer <3.

Playing WoW still, along with Fallout 2.

I was once playing The Godfather for XBox, but sent it back to Gamefly for the next game in my queue, because I could have sworn that there would be used copies at the store for like $10 (as opposed to Gamefly's $15 price tag). They didn't. So now I'm playing Shoot 'em and Oblivion.

I was playing LoZ Twilight Princess. I was at Arbiture's Grounds the last time I played, with 3 hearts and I skipped the Fyrus Boss battle with my CD-Streaming horse Flying technique known as the Eldin Province no Twili Early. I aquired bombs by CD-Streaming and horse flying behind the boulders blocking the route to Zora's Domain, then heading to the Boat Mini-Game. Unable to purchase water bombs, I entered the water temple by picking up a crate and standing on a ledge in front of the Zora guard with my Iron boots on staring at his chest with Up-C and then talking to him, causing me to fall through solid rock. When I had reached the first water level, I chucked all of my bombs and opened a chest containing water bombs. After aquiring the clawshot I entered the main room with the rotating stairs, headed to an underwater vine, planted a bomb and clawshot just above the bomb, so that the resulting explosion sent me through the wall, allowing me to swim to the bosses room without a key. Upon reaching the Arbiture's Grounds, I sent myself back in time to where the game first begins

I'm also playing through FF:XII, the teams at lvl 41 average

<Nadir> mzxers don't make GAMES, usually
<phthalocyanine> they make experiences.
<Nadir> demos, more like
<Nadir> a glimpse into what could have been if mzx wasn't such a bore to work with
<Nadir> actually, i'm being unfair
<Nadir> i would have made mzx games if it was capable of running on more than 20 computers worldwide in 1998
<Nadir> >:D

<%Alice> functor
<%nooodl> i hear C++ has a thing called functors and they're completely different from Haskell functors...
<rorirover> the result is the most horrid thing in C++, it's basically black magic and it transforms any code you're writing into some eldritch monstrosity

I've got like 4 levels to go in Crush (PSP)... This game has gotten EXTREMELY difficult, and the last area has some of the most annoying music ever in a game, but I must press forward.

I completed Rose and Camellia recently, and now I'm working through my GameFly'd copy of Blood Will Tell. That is actually quite a good game.

It's super good for a licenced game, isn't it? Too bad Dororo's never seen an english release, I wouldn't mind reading it even if it is unfinished.

wasn't it released in French a while ago? There's bound to be some scanlations floating around, because it's super old. You can get manga scans, at least. (I've only seen untranslated, though)

Ever17 ~The Out of Infinity~

I guess it's okay, and it's one of the only sound novels/love adventures available in English that I haven't played yet. I'm only about 1/3rd of the way through one path though. Still not as good as WATER CLOSET, but hey, nothing is. I wouldn't mind playing the other Infinity games, but it doesn't look like Hirameki will be bringing them out.
