Then why do you call them secret?

Because you only see said marks if you're paying attention. If, for example, you're busy fighting an enemy, you probably won't notice that you're about to fall down 2 stories.

Cray
You play as a woman named Heather. You fall through a skylight of a cave, land in an underground river, and wash up on its banks not remembering anything. It's a spiritual sequel to emF, especially emF 2, because your main weapon is a sword and you have a (albeit automatically recharging) gun that you can use sparingly. Also, it's a cameo game.

Loud groans and unenthusiastic murmurs echo throughout the room.

Actually, come to think of it, maybe it won't be! It wouldn't change the plot at all. Yes, maybe I'll do that. Definitely, in fact. In fact, I'll have it be like 100 years after emF although within the same area, except that I'm doing that with GnBr, which I probably will never finish. The solution, then, is simple. Make this Genission Bromide!

I'm coming up with ideas as I write this post, you see. Ahh, ahh.

But it'd be great because I'd never finish Genission Bromide without having any action in it. I'll just meld the engines, scrap the somewhat uninteresting old plot of GnBr, keep the title and freaking draw crawdads all over elementary schools.

Genission Bromide
Okay so Genission Bromide is now nothing at all like you saw in those screen shots. The plot and characters are not at all the same. You play as a woman named Heather. You fall through a skylight of a cave, land in an underground river, and wash up on its banks not remembering anything.

You use your sword with X and fire your gun with Z. You can charge your sword by holding the X button and releasing it to perform a spinning maneuver. You can also fire your gun while charged to shoot in all 4 directions. The inventory system will still be there, letting you store things like life potions.

Also, I'll obviously still finish BAND! 4; it's not like I could just quit working on it so close to the end!

Wait... so... wait were thoes two different games with the SAME character name and opening situation?

Dude, WTF?

That's like me saying "I quite chronostodian, but now I am working on Custinuum! which is about Bob the buildings sanitation engineer who happens upon a Chrono-distortion engine!"

The trick is to just read over the post slowly, from beginning to end.

I've got the plot of GnBr worked out pretty much and it's great!

Also, so is the particle engine.

I changed Genission Bromide's name again, because of how intricately the story is woven into the world of emF. It is now called emo maggot FREAK! Afterthought.

Yes. Adding X to the end of a game's name makes it 100% cooler.

So now I'm working on another game!!!!

Estrange
It's pretty similar to BAND! 4, but it'll be longer, have a slightly more serious tone and a more intricate plot, and rely more on exploration. The basic game mechanics will be roughly the same, though--in fact, I pretty much lifted all the engines from BAND! 4 that didn't suck for use in this game. It'll have a larger variety of weapons and powerups, though, made possible by them all using the new particle system. It's glitching a bit at the moment, but I'll figure it out eventually.

I'm aiming for it to have a lot of replayability, too. Every level--should I choose to distinguish finely between different levels--will have around two hidden artifacts, which you probably will not get all of the first time through.

There's looking to be around 10 levels. It sounds short, but they'll be much, much more lengthy than BAND! 4 levels.

I've solidified the plot pretty much! Here's basically what you find out at the beginning of the game:

The antagonist has gathered eight negative artifacts, supposedly crafted by the gods themselves, that have the power to break down the universe. He plans to tear open a hole in it and enter the timestream, which he will terminate, freezing time forever.

You, the protagonist, cannot stop him as you are--you tried once and very obviously failed, after all. Breaking open the universe takes quite a bit of time, so you hurry off to collect eight positive artifacts, also crafted by the gods to keep stability in the universe. Rather than breaking the universe down, they mend it. You must collect them and return to the mountain summit in time. So long as the universe already leans towards the positive side, the negative artifacts cannot break it down in the face of the positive ones.

But why does the antagonist want to freeze time forever? What is his motive? WHAT DID TIME EVER DO TO HIM?!!
Sounds like a good story.
