This will be the place for the updates / dev stuff for my current mzx projects..
Right now I have a few newer ones I'm actively redoing.

Current Projects

Lost Roam
A puzzle rpg I'm starting. I'm trying to think of a combat system that won't really very heavily on a lot of action, and more so strategy.

This game looks pretty cool. :)
Oh, I noticed that when you touch the switchblade, your player can still move around untill it askes if you want to pick it up. You may want to use a lockplayer there or something.

EDIT: I just saw your last post. It seems that during most of the dialogue your player can still move around. I don't know if you wanted it like that. I just wanted to point that out.

"I'm not superstitious, I'm just a little stitious." - Michael Scott
"I'm a victim of circumstance!" - Curly
"I reject your reality and substitute my own." - Adam Savage
"Why don't you cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it."
"I see you're drinking 1%, is that because you think you're fat?" - Napoleon Dynamite
"War is Groovy" - some violent hippie

I have about 30 unfinished mzx games, and I plan to keep it that way.

i really like your graphical style, and i think that you may turn out to be a pretty good mzxer if your programming is as good as your graphics. :)

By the way, I'm sorry for not picking up both versions. This was unintentional. I recommend, in future, you resubmit full versions (not patches) even though this is not yet clarified by the rules.

They certainly *look* nice, but you'll need to do some more engines within the games before we can comment.

Your player renderer, does is dynamically place characters into a sprite's reference area to make room for the graphic?

anyway thoes are some awesome char graphics, that is all.

It uses overlay blocks tracked by counters. D:

But thanks ^_^

Just do like I do; revive the thread whenever you add something. Thread necromancy is a'ight in Journals.

Updates

Revolution
I came up with a few new ideas for this, although they didn't get far.
  • made battle system animations, very scarce
  • tried to tweak with a 'radio'

currently untitled
This is my favorite project right now, but the level design is more cinematic than actual gameplay. I want to find something easily attachable to the story.
  • better transition effects
  • new music
  • longer intro (still not done)

Ideas

A game with Egyptian themes, with some kind of 'worship' mechanic. And real-time story sequences like the ones from Half Life 2.

New idea I had.. I'm going to start designing a RPG with the tentative title HiGH.. it's gonna use a character I've been developing for a while now. Can't give a lot of explanation yet, sorry. :\ I'll get some screenshots up when I doodle up a few boards.
