If you're looking for a simple command line client, I highly recommend tnftp. It's awesome.

I use Imagemagick for image conversion. After you get your uber-huge XPM, BMP, PNG, or whatever, do this to convert one of them to a medium-high quality JPEG:

convert myscreenie.png -quality 75 myscreenie.jpg

...and do this to make a thumbnail at half size:

convert myscreenie.png -resize 50% -quality 50 myscreenie-t.jpg

It works quite nicely. :D

I was thinking something more along the lines of SmartFTP, but 1) less sucky and 2) for linux.

I'll get Imagemagick, sounds cool, it will definitely make my screenshot smaller in size.

Kom: nice background image, but that black theme would drive me insane. xD

<@Tixus> But it failed to send me back in time, and I was disappointed.
<Insidious> Tixus accidentally microwaved the 80s

Cluttered
Uncluttered

It's pretty generic, due to a lack of themes that are not 1. too plain, 2. too gaudy and flashy (and clash with just about everything), 3. too Aquaish, 4. too Vistaish, or 5. just plain unusable.

New color scheme created from color samples from the picture. Not sure what city it is, it just came from a Google search for "city dusk".

Ah ben tabernacles, ça doit être pour ça que mon clavier à une touche é à droite de la touche ., et une touche ù à gauche de la touche z.

But if you look carefully you'll see that the keyboard layout is set to english. (Note, however, that the keyboard layout icon is there, and shift+alt triggers between english and french canadian keyboard layouts.)

That's why i never use that theme, i was only trying it as an experiment. I still currently use the Vista-ish panels though. Right now for the windows i have them looking like Mac OS X. :p
