I'm playing Final Fantasy IX and X. I want to get Valkyrie Profile, but it's more expensive than FFVII with the black label.

This game is not Japan Only. This is a good visual novel so far, particularly because it has art by Noiji Itou, who is mai waifu.
EDIT: Also the source of my current avatar. My avatar plus the screenshot make this an incredibly disorienting post. I

i haven't seen you posting in that summer fitness thread, maybe you should consider...
Actually I still haven't finished Flyable Heart. Have to get back to it some time - I've heard fantastic things about some of the routes so it'll probably pick up.
EDIT: you do realise that 'Noizi Ito' is actually Proper Official Romanisation of her name, Right? It's not just some dumb thing some kids decided to use. It's the same reason we call Halko Momoi.. er, Halko Momoi etc.

I haven't finished any route yet, I'm not even sure if I'm ON a route yet, despite an accumulated two billion years of playing time. It definitely gets a bit slow.
I like it, though. It has some interesting character dynamics.
EDIT: Lancer I will never accept passport Hepburn, NEVER

Okay. It is simply NOT. ANY. FAIR. how many cool things Wii owners are getting that could easily be ported to DS but aren't (MM9, this.) *cough*luckybastards*cough*
Anyway, having picked it up on the cheap at a garage sale, I'm giving FFVII another chance. Current impression: while I was probably a little too harsh on it in the past, it's still flawed and wildly overrated. That said, the soundtrack is great, and while I still don't particularily like Cloud, he's more just standoffish than the annoying emo jerk he is in the spinoffs.

This week, on LANCER PONDERS:
<lolilover> I notice alot of Japanese fiction involving kemono-mimi characters always has the main character saving an innocent animal and then the animal returns as a girl to reward him for his kindness.
<lolilover> Well there's a cat that is always wandering around in my backyard. Should I feed it in the hopes that one day a catgirl will show up at my door?

What am I playing? ...I can't really believe it, but I'm playing Final Fantasy II again. The NES version. I don't really know why, I just want to beat the evil little sunuvabitch once and for all, after it defeated me the first time.
