Hey, I just noticed something: u only got 4% of yo loz game!

This doesn't always mean exactly the current progress state. It could as well be 80% or something, depending on what i type in there.

If you don't finish "The Legend of Zelda - The Mirror Temple", I will complete "The Legend of Zelda - The Inquest"

Is that good enough motivation for you?

I knew this was going to happen sooner or later.

NOTE: Bad news... i'm having trouble with the camera lately. I'm not sure why it now fails to work, but i think it is because i increased the viewport size from 40x12 to 60x19.
Oh yeah, you might now think: "Wtf... how the hell won't the camera center on the player?". Well, thats because i don't use the player as link, but a robot specialized for doing just that. Until now, i used an external camera centering robot, which now has trouble to move the screen parallel to the movements of link. Now i've included this robot to link, it DOES move a bit smoother, but still not exactly right. This should take any moment to get fixed.

I don't care how you do it, but I hope you code a sword stronger than the Master Sword, as well as the iconic Mirror Shield.

I was irritated that Twilight Princess omitted those, despite it being a great game otherwise.

Don't worry, there will be better weapons in here, but of course, the Master Sword just HAS to be in the game, and I was actually not even planning to put in a mirror shield, but instead, some other kind of shield that has much greater powers.

Use sprites - they are fairly easy to set up, use, control. And you can easily center the view on a sprite with one command.

Using a sprite for a 1x1 char? And btw, i've made a robot which works on it's own, and doesn't use a sprite to reveal itself. if i start using a sprite NOW, i have to change a whole lot to make it working with a sprite.

But hey, you're right. i can always go and use a sprite instead of making a brand-new system to center the camera on link.
Thanks for the hint, Gal.

Make it bigger. Size does matter.

i already tried to do so, but i can't go on knowing i'll lose all progress when i do so. Instead, i just decreased the screen size.

I used a 1x1 character in "fallen". And default enemies. And mostly default gameplay. And I still find it somewhat fun to play.

Just do what you have to do, I'll play your game no matter what.

I think a 1x1 char is just fine. Ryan Thunder is also being developed using a 1x1 player. I say that it gives a MegaZeux game the feel of a classic, but that's my personal opinion. People won't bash your game just because you used the default player (at least, I would certainly hope so). Just as long as you compensate it with great gameplay and story, which I believe you know how to do, it won't be any less awesome.

Things are a lot less hectic when programming with one too.

Keep at it, A-Guymzx! I look forward to the day that your game is complete.

1x1 character are much easier to program. I'd say stay with the 1x1 structure if you ever plan to complete the game.

Fallen ROCKS! I agree with maxim, I once tried to make a game with a 3x3 char but quit it because it used too many sprites for the people, signs, etc. ^_^

Are you still having issues with the viewport centering the player in a timely fashion?

I... have been lazy for a loooooooooooooong while at MZXing, and can't quite get to work with MZX now, uit i'll try hard to do so.

Btw, i've been busy lately making a movie about Roblox, a site where you build everything you want, can make, or just imagine to make, and all that in a LEGO brick style.
This Roblox video Shows you what you can do with it.
This is what i made there:
My Roblox Profile

Yep, i know i drag this off topic and am advertising for an other site, but i just want you guys to know that i have more stuff on my PC then just MZX. But as i already sead, i'll get working on LoZ.

well, i've been planning to start over with the Link-Bot because every change i make, will effect something different and mess that up. no need to worry though, i'll get it done.

Update: Yes, i re-opened the LoZ file! I think the long 3 (almost 4) months helped me getting motivation to start over with the entire engine. I can also play with efficiency now, since i've been looking into a whole lot of other games until now, noticing their methods of coding. I'm also thinking of using the 2x2 character after all, since i'll be starting from scrach anyway. I'll come up with some screenshots later, when i have part of the engine done.
