Gemini. This year though the hosters really dropped the ball. At least half of the tests had around 5 wrong questions, the number theory test had 13 wrong! Out of 30! They gave the wrong answer key twice, they accidently printed the answer key on one of the Theta tests and had to hold up the first round of topic tests, and there was confusion about which calculators we were allowed on the Trig Apps test. Gemini was 5 puzzles instead of 30 math questions, too 0_o. Makes me feel a little cheap for winning a team puzzle competition (although last year our school won first place interschool, so). I hear the ciphering was awful but I had to go and take a nap during that because I had a headache.

I didn't realize you did math team, although I think you mentioned studying math in college once and you did go to school in Florida where 20 of the teams were from.

I used to be really involved in Mu Alpha Theta at Rickards from Florida. I'm not sure if you recognize the name because I'm not sure how well we're doing these days, but we used to do pretty well for ourselves... I think my last year when nats was at Hawaii we got fourth overall and I did pretty decently for myself. Our math coach left and is now a math coach at Buccholz, which you should very likely recognize
After I graduated I went back and helped run our state convention in florida, and, having worked some of my time in the dispute center, I really loathed tests that had a ton of errors (of course I hated them while I was competing as well, since it pretty much prevented you from having a solid idea what your score would be before the award ceremonies...)

Yeah Rickards was there, we played frisbee with some of the dudes there. They seemed cool. Buchholz, though, they annihilated everyone . Grissom didn't do too bad, we got 8th overall and a number of places in topic tests. Don't know if you recognize Grissom's name, though. Our teacher actually was Mu Alpha Theta president until January or so when she dropped it because she was so busy.

The broken tests are really insulting to me because I've written tests for Grissom Math Tournament and our Rocket City Math League. We go through those things SO THOROUGHLY you'd be amazed a bunch of high schoolers wrote them all.
