Message from the Management

When you finish a new game, demo, engine, or utility, the first thing to do is submit it to the archive for approval. (Log in first, then Upload a New Game from the sidebar.) Then feel free to post about it in this forum; in fact, please continue to do this. This is so people will actually know about your game and play it. As nice as it is to have archive uploads automated, it's not going to help much if no one knows you have a new game to play.

When uploading your games to the archive, please zip up your game using the .ZIP format, even if it is just a .MZX file. As for less popular formats (such as RAR and 7Z), games uploaded in these formats will be rejected. This is because as wonderful as those compression algorithms might be, ZIP is a near universal compression standard, and the only one that will work with the in-game archive browser planned for MZX.

You can also attach your game to a new thread in this forum. In this case, you can use whatever compression format you find suitable. NOTE: Games posted this way won't be put into the archive unless submitted to the archive proper, or unless the author states he/she wants the game in.

Lastly, we suggest you post a suitable screenshot of your submission (in PNG format) along with the game.

Play My Game (Instant download here)

Posted Image

(I'll just paste this'ere then) GOLDENSTORY RAINBOW DESTINY is CJA's last cameo game that rekindles the spirit of emF. Using an array of weapons and a cast of assorted characters, burn, freeze and melt your way through bosses, continents and over 10 levels to stop what might be the end of the world. Special features include revamped combat that still pertains the feel of classic MegaZeux games, dynamic terrain engine that allows you to modify your environment using your weapons, regenerating levels, a stock market, an OST with over 12 tracks, and more!

This game is gamepad friendly, so maybe get that out while you wait for it to download (pre-included GRD.cnf should give you handy setup instructions, make sure to also map your Enter key, L key and P key for MZX use, and you will need to save/load with F3 and F4, but all this is fairly rare enough to use your actual keyboard for)

Comparing your game to emo maggot Freak isn't saying many good things about your game :-(

Downloaded, but there are still a bunch of games that I need to play first

There's a "Welcome to Zeuland" message in my language. That's neat... some.

Yep yep.

Also sorry for the bad plot. I have a HORRIBLE time trying to induce the right amount of seriousness and comedy at certain times, maybe I can learn from this

Like the story's generally a silly, lopsided, whimsical pile of crap but sometimes it's just like, way too graphic or concrete in some ways

FINISHED

yeah, it was a pretty excellent game. the weapon power upgrades were all far too expensive, though, not to mention scaling in price with your wallet size (I don't think I was ever able to afford the flame and water powerups even with over 100K of wallet)

The weapons' base damage usually becomes really powerful by the end game especially if you backtrack, and especially if you find the 8 secret gun upgrades...

but that was just something I overlooked maybe, I might release a patch fixing that and the wallet thing and the "ten thousand coins" discrepancy (lol i can't believe that slipped me and all the testers)
