Yeah looks like you'll have your remake done before Ken has his remake done. Can't wait to play. :D

We'll see about that... after all it is a year later! I certainly haven't forgotten about this project nor do i wish to just toss it away! I'm 23 now but also single again... so i have more time than last year to complete it.

In 1998, pretty much the first test game I ever made was a Zelda clone. Was horrific! Was Pretty much just built up of built-in enemies at the time with no robots what so ever.

I just browsed over the progress you have on everything with this. Sure, you might have forgotten about it temporarily, but I think you should revive it. The whole thing looks great.

I'll defiantly reopen this project in the summer. Its really hard to work anything at the moment due to all the work I have on my plate. Also dealing with GIRL problems... not saying I'm on my period... just... I'm dealing with other people on their period you could say haha

Okay I've decided to open up the Legend of Zelda project again. While I'm working on a few other games, I've decided to poke some more at this one. I think if i keep the game short its possible I can complete this one!

Guess its about time i started adding the new weapons and items to Link's inventory. Its going to be a bit tricky with a few of them. I might have to just create them all with sprites, even the bombs. I'm open to suggestions.

I'm going to be working on the grappling-hook and boomerangs soon. I want them to look and feel the same as the Zelda games they first appeared in.

I'm also working on making darkrooms (caves, basements.. etc); which require Link to use a lamp or fire spell in order to see. I just got to figure out a way to make the lamp posts that you can torch and how to even make a darkroom. It won't be like ZZT in that the light followers Link; it will just be a room that goes from pitch black to different mid-tones as the torches slowly die. It can work as long as i don't make any green enemies since they would be the same color as Link, thus he would disappear too once it got dark... BUT ANYWHO I'll figure that out.

Most importantly however... I should defiantly add those chickens that you can harass in the towns.

Defiantly most important.

I hope to come up with some screenshots soon on the new pieces I've been working on.

Fixing up the Menu system and weapon switching/selection system. You can now use your sword, bow, bombs and boomerang. Right now however the boomerang does not grab items for you. Not untill I figure out how to make it replace items with the exact customfloor under them. I used built-in's for the items:

ammo = arrows
gems = rupees
health = small heart

The game uses basic controls simular to MegaZeux default controls for the player. Holding SPACE and pressing an arrow key will shoot an arrow from your bow, or toss your boomerang. This will be the same controls for your lamp, hookshot, icerod and firerod.
