Hopefully, MZX is more of a distraction to you. For me, MZX is more like a "task" and I can't get anything done when something's on my mind. So if you're MZXing away and suddenly you feel a pang or you feel like crud then take a break and go get a soda or watch a watered-down TV sitcom or something.
Happy mzxing!

Hopefully it's not that way for you!
<Malwyn> Yes, yes. Don't worry I'd rather masturbate with broken glass than ask you for help again. :(

Right now I'm fixing up some horrible new bugs in Super Mario. I'll put up a video next week once/if I get these bugs fixed. Believe it was requested several months ago that I upload a video of the new engine. I may even just post the video with the bugs still in them so people can see what I'm really dealing with lol

Reduced On Board Robots
Fixed many of the new bugs in the latest engine of the game. Originally there were over 60 robots per board that were required to make all systems functional and all enemies to spawn. I've reduced this drastically by use of robot loading scripts and assigning each enemy as a number that is than calculated into each level based on a positioner stored in only one robot. This one robot will be different on each board because it will be what determines where enemies should be spawned from. If any board contains a large amount of robots now, it just means that there are many different kinds of enemies on screen. This however should not be anymore than 25 robots. All enemies of the same type now share the same external enemy scripts as reference before inputting new data to make them unique from the next enemy.
Main Menu
I've completely fixed up the main menu. You can now Continue a Game you last played; rather than only Start A New or Load a Game. Continuing a game will take you right to where you last played the game even if you did not intentionally make a save game. All lives will stay at the same value you have left them when you had played last. Continue Game saves whenever you enter a stage or after you have died and a stage is being reloaded.
Compression
I'm compressing most of the audio files since they seem to be quite large in filesize. Currently Super Mario for MegaZeux with all its media is 175MB! Which I think is a bit too much. So I'll be reducing the qualities of the WAV files and all music will be converted to OGG file types. As a way if reducing the overall file size I've removed some unwanted boards, unsured document files and scripts and even just cleared up some empty lines of blank code in the robots.

You can wallow in being the mythic archetype of the MZXer with massive unfinished projects. I still think you had/have potential if you'd just focus on ONE doable project and DO it. Not that I'm exactly one to talk, but I have finished some Things.

(For "futer reference", you can't upvote your own stuff anymore. Even I and the other admins can't.)
If you're actually making MZX games, more power to you! The downvoting (probably) wasn't about that.

In the attached ZIP file you can test out a board that contains all the enemies you would encounter. I'd love to hear people's feed back about how it plays. Its taking me a long time to get all the maps together but its something I hope to finish before Summer of 2014.
Not all spell animations are complete, also you will find a ton of spelling mistakes. Regardless... Have fun!
* Download Link Updated (12/12/2013) *
There are some changes I have made to the full game (which are not included in the ZIP)
- Enemies will re-populate over time (many quests will require you to hunt specific enemies)
- There are now 43 different kinds of enemies you could encounter!
- Added new enemy spells including WIND and INVISIBILITY
- Started working on the Character Creation menu

Its a game I had left on the backburner for many years and after taking a look at it, realized how easy it would be to complete it. So I should have it up sometime next week. Believe it or not its actually pretty fun to play!

Super Mario for MegaZeux is my on-going project that pretty much everyone is full aware of. It will never die
Legend of Zelda: The Inquest has been one of my longest running projects. Although I've spent a lot more time working on Super Mario, a Zelda clone was actually the first game I ever attempted to make using MZX.
Final Fantasy: Aurora I started working on the battle engine before I even touched on the over world map. I sadly was never too satisfied with the over world design so I never really pushed the game and further than its battle sequence.
Dragon Warrior, is one of my most proudest clones in terms of matching NES graphics with MZX. While the mechanics behind the game are quite simple, I never really got around to completing this project due to a lack of story. Its something I may pick up after I finish Super Mario or give up on it.
Prince of Persia, game requires a lot of character editing to match all the frames of animation that are for the player and enemies. That's the main drawback for why this game had been tossed in the back.
And a few other games:
* Eversin
* ZZTechtris
* The Chronicles of Chris Kringle
* MZX World
* Side Draft
* A Hero's Utopia
* Ocean Orca
* Shadowgate

Also, have you seen Mario Maker yet? Seems up your alley.
