Basically, I've been working on using Byuu's MSU-1 spec to add CD quality, remastered music to FF6.

Here's a proof of concept video:

And here's the main thread where the development is happening:

This will be playable on Higan v094, BSNES v075 (with the SPC fallback not working, so any songs that are missing or not replaced will be silent), and on an actual Super Nintendo using the SD2SNES flash cart. I've got it to the point it's playing our songs ingame, but there are a number of bugs to be ironed out that I'm working on. Still, it's promising :(

<@Tixus> Anyway, I set the year to 1988 for some reason.
<@Tixus> And set the microwave to run for a minute and 28 seconds.
<@Tixus> But it failed to send me back in time, and I was disappointed.
<Insidious> Tixus accidentally microwaved the 80s
<Insidious> that is my takeaway from this

Just wanted to update that we now have a working private alpha. Check the thread on qhimm for more details.

Alpha demonstration video, from a stream I did earlier today:

Lookin' rad! Man I love the new boss music too...

I gotta be honest, at first I was like "how's this stuff gonna top that tight 16 bit goodness" but I totally feel it now with it playing in-game.
Need a dispenser here.

I just released the Open Beta for this.

https://bitbucket.or...adInstaller.exe

Requires Higan v097+, bsnesplus v073+2, or an SD2SNES. Requires an unmodified US Final Fantasy III v1.0 ROM.
