The biggest discovery I made with bugs in my game is that robot ID numbers can actually change when MegaZeux performs a save operation. I had many bugs related to this problem and I had to come up with a several solutions. The F11 debug menu as been a huge help too. Assuming you have named your robots with a method that allows you to find them in the menu, you can go in to it and see what the values of the robots local counters are and get some understanding of why it's behaving that way.
SUPER MARIO (for MZX) It's coming!

Currently working on Servo for MegaZeux, I hope to complete it by the middle of 2015? Who knows...

If there are new bugs, they have probably been introduced by changes you made recently. For instance:
- Red turtle shell being stationary
Could be from:
- Red Turtles can now be put into shell by hitting blocks below them (bricks, coins, powerup)
Or - Red Turtles now turn around when reaching a ledge (previously they would take 1 step off then back on)
Hopefully you are keeping track of changes with some sort or change log. It pays to be methodical and anal retentive.

This is very interesting. I just started implementing a auto-save so that you can click continue from the main menu at the start of the game and continue where you left off. This could explain a lot. Going to do a bit of a work around.
I do have a running change log but a couple months ago I spent two days working on the game without recording the changes and I made quite a lot that weekend.
Its funny how much of MZX I have forgotten with each break I take. I came back to this today thinking... how do i lock the screen scrolling again? and had to actually look it up in the help menu again. eeep
