you know, 2.92 was originally supposed to be done by the middle of January and I only barely started on the work for it last week :-/

The scope of 2.92 has drastically increased and I don't think it will be released before MZXCon. A 2.91d may happen in the next couple of weeks including improved updater timeouts and the d3d11 renderer.

Progress on 2.92 is still going. The biggest feature in this release (joystick overhaul) is probably going to be done soon but there are some other things that need to be addressed—updater work, SAVE_ROBOT work, features that need to be unbroken in debytecode, and SMZX 3 palette editor enhancements—before this can get a proper release.

I also want to get the Switch SDL2/Mesa port merged and producing working builds before 2.92 is released. Other new ports getting merged for this release aren't as likely since Android and Dreamcast are currently in unfinished states and the Emscripten and Vita (RIP) ports are blocked by work on my end slated for 2.93.
