Simple Adventure Interface (nicknamed SAIYUKEN) is my latest engine release, taking FULL advantage of MZX2.62's new key bindings. The ZIP file is attached, check it out!

Sounds good.  I'll check it out when I can actually download stuff, which will be in *sigh* a week.

I found a bug... once you exit the inventory menu, it doesn't go back to "loop", thus it no longer checks for space or delete keystrokes.

I think it's been long enough: SAI has been declared Open Source. Download it, try it out, see if you can't do any better than I can (soup up the graphics, add in overlay text (HINT HINT EXO), add in overlay heads and buffers, and maybe some other stuff), and then upload the results in this thread. This happened once before, and good ol' Revvy blew my socks off with SCUMZX 3.14.

Liquid-Salt: PLEASE don't start getting MegaBoy Syndrome (ie posting more than one thread where one is necessary and/or posting stuff that has got nothing to do with anything and serves NO purpose. see [link]http://www.digitalmzx.com/forums/ikonboard...=ST;f=12;t=3195[/link].) You ever wonder why he has close to 1500 posts when other people who have been here much longer (like everybody from the mWorld board) have much less?

Unless somebody releases a game before me, Hidden Intentions is the first game to use the SAI(yuken) engine. I may spice the engine up with some mouse commands or turn it into an action/rpg interface (like the Action Icon in Zelda 64 maybe?). Stay tuned...

I always put credits in my games, even though I technically work "alone." I always have credits for games which have inspired me, people who beta tested and/or contributed code, music, etc.

Oh... as for being on topic, the engine sounds very cool, as does the idea of a Zelda 64-style action button, but MZX is not currently working properly for me so I can't test it...maybe next computer...(yes, that is pretty soon)
