Look everyone, a new contest! Zeuxworld's 1st annual 'Week of Zeux'

That's right folks, I've had a few people asking me to host a contest, so here goes:

Zeuxworld's first annual Week of Zeux has arrived. The contest begins Saturday September 28th at 11:00pm EST, and ends Saturday, October 5th, at 11:00pm EST.

- Solo, or teams up to four are allowed.
- All entries must be in before 11:00pm EST on Oct. 5th.

As you know I am definitely behind you in this. ZzCrook is one of the most prominent members of the community and it's been a while since we had a WoZ.

I don't know.. Week of Zeux games can actually show less of the designer's potential. In an entire week, people are going to procrastinate far to much; in one day, people usually are rushed to do their best. I think that's the only reason I got as far as 5th place in the last DoZ.

Nonetheless, however, I am still behind you guys all the way on this, and I may probably try it anyway.

I'll definitely enter, but I'd rather that, for me, the first prize was something other than the Zeuxdisc. since I already have all of the good games on the Zeuxworld archive.

I guess I'll enter this thing, seeing as how I missed the DoZ during the summer. Then I shall show you all my 1337 5killz. Well, more like M3DI0CR3 5killz. If anybody wants to team up with me (which I highly doubt) you can PM me.

Well... I've come to a conclusion. Next year, it'll be a WEoZ... instead of a WoZ.

Also, I wasn't going to even have prizes, but I decided what the heck. If you win, and do not want the prize, then I won't send it. It's completely optional. I should've said that somewhere.

Hmm, I'm usually pretty busy during weekdays (except for the evenings). I don't think I can keep it up for a week. It's too long for my tastes. I'll probably get bored.

Why not just a Day of Zeux?

Because that would ruin the real DoZ this winter. Let's face it, right now is a bad time for anything... it'd be nice if I had an entire week I could devote to nothing but MZXing, but I can't, and am thus entering to see how well I can manage and optimize what time I do have, and that of my teammates.

Exo -- yes, you are probably right. I didn't really think about the fact that DoZ's only happen twice a year (summer and winter).

Tecki's been busy with school, methinks. If I see him on #mzx, I'll pass the message to him. But I bet that he's not going to have time.

On a total side note, that first night's gonna be rough for me. That saturday (the 28th) is my first latin competition this year. Last year we placed 1st at almost all the competitions, and we plan to sweep first on all three levels (I, II and Advanced). =DD

Uh...it might be a good idea to weight the Theme a little bit more heavily. At only 10/100 points, you could conceivably submit something completely off-topic, and still pull a 90%. O_o

Gonna be a fun competition, though. Looking forward to it!
