Posting a hate list and then expounding on everything you hate about the people on that list definitely classifies as hateful. You may not be able to keep yourself from hating certain forum members, and that's your burden to deal with. Dragging it into the open without regard to other peoples' feelings or rights is not within your purview and will not be permitted on these forums. It is especially reprehensible when some of the members in question are very young and much more susceptable to blows like this, I have seen enough spirits destroyed by the constant culture of hate that pervades these forums, and it needs to stop.
In particular, since it's my concern that a fair amount of hate is being directed towards these two right now, even by some of the "nicer" members:
scorch3000 - We do not HATE any members of the boards here, regardless of their disciplenary status, and regardless of their ability to get along with others. We would in fact prefer it if you didn't even hate people who have been banned. Scorch may very well hate a lot of people here, and is getting punishment because of it. You do not get to hate him back. If you can't help yourselves, then seethe in silence.
Red Penguin - Red Penguin is very young, inexperienced, and full of an energy that is likely to be forcibly strangled out of him rather than directed towards positive future pursuits as he grows in wisdom and ability. His endless exuberance in creating mediocrity annoys many, including myself, but we are not allowed to hate him. We should encourage him to strive for better achievements, rather than slowly sapping his self-worth and turning him into yet another bitter, unproductive member of MZX society. But then that's all we really amount to, isn't it.
Hatred is a powerful and destructive emotion, and I have to think many people don't realize what they mean when they say they hate someone. To kill the person in your heart, imagining the ways you want to hurt them and destroy them, and sometimes acting on them. Hatred allows us to see not another person with thoughts and feelings just as important as our own, but an object of irritation subject to being cast aside for our own benefit. Stoking the fires of our cold hearts briefly as we burn them in effigy.
"Everybody needs a glass of water today, to chase the hate away..."
