You know, I've been doing things with MZX for more than... what? 4 months now? I dunno. But I'm willing to do something: Get someone to help me with making a game, or at least a story. If anyone wants to help, it'd be nice...

If you really don't have any ideas at all, a good trick would be to go and get some. History suggests you'll get absolutely nowhere working on a story you didn't write.
Another, probably more practical advice: try adapting simple, time-tested games to MegaZeux. Improve your skills. Read some stuff and watch some stuff and write down ideas as you get them.
Above all, don't attempt to absorb motivation - or worse, actual labor - from the rest of us. The younger folks will misguide you and the older ones don't have anything left to spare. =(

A lot of Ideas can come from your dreams or desires. I'm making RPG Skool based on how I wish my school would be. Also, you could start out by making an engine or somthing like that and try to derive a game off of that. Just a thought or two...

If you pick a subject you like and make up the story as you go along, you can sometimes get something interesting.
Also, I second kom's first suggestion (use dreams or desires) and asgromo's last suggestion (ask us to give you advice, not to write a story for you).
Also also, don't be afraid to ask for someone else's opinion of your game in progress.

Play a lot of other peoples mzx games. I recommend the Nonsense series (emalkay) Grunges series (zombieguy) and Legend of Rhovanion (LeDgEnD). You can get a lot of ideas off good quality mzx games, but don't copy the ideas word for word. Play a variety of genres (comedy, action, rpg) and if you are stuck for engines, get one from the archives! I believe kom used armagedon swords in rpg skool. No one minds if you use them, thats what they are there for. They may be a bit old though.

I'll do a bit of thinking work to see what I can come up with. I've never been quite the poet, so I might just stick to things like making engines etc. and be LogiCow's follower.
