Another question: Do people really not like saying "hello" to new people this much?

Hi! Wow, my first "Hi" in this forum! I feel like I have a piece of leftover pizza waiting for me to reheat. Thanks! :p I really like having people say Hi. Any tips on what to do? (Like don't get on the administrator's bad side?)

uhh... Yeah. I played Bernard the Bard, Adlo, Phiona's Sepulcher, The Wired Demo, Demon Earth, Xenogenesis, The Dark Corner, Engine, I have the Encyclopedia, and Weirdness along with the Special Edition. I learned a LOT of coding and still am from them.

Yeah ignore the garbled coding for the FMV feature of Xenogenesis though; that's just something that only Veloso (who's really Greg Janson) had the insight of doing.

Dangit. I'd love to be able to do that though! It would be a really cool intro to a game for a 3-d thing in a 2-d land to just pop and break somebody's monitor. . . :p

i'll bet that with a little smzx work, we could do REDGREEN 3D IN MZX!
and now that i've mentioned it, logicow's probably going to go do it.

I wish I could use smzx mode. It must look nice. My computer won't let me for some reason.

what? you're using the right version of MZX, right? SMZX mode is no longer machine-dependant, as of 280 and onwards

Maybe there's something wrong with how I put on Megazeux. On my computer I don't need to go into dos to get into 2.70 and when I put 2.80 on my friend's computer which is newer than mine smzx mode didn't work. I don't use 2.80 much on my computer because it doesn't work as good as 2.70. I only use it to play games that other people made in 2.80. :p

I'm CJA, new, but not that new, I've been here for 9 days as of writing this. I've already released 3 games, Catch, Thingiy and Ascii Puzzle Game [Demo], and 2 engines, Circ Test and Math with Big Numbers (not really an engine, but whatever). I got MZX, like, 3 years ago, but finally decided to join DMZX. (Before I got MZX, I was working with ZZT.) So, here I am.
Need a dispenser here.

You know, I don't think I've ever given myself a proper introduction, but meh... whatever... if you want to know who I am that badly, just ask.

Also, welcome Cja... does that stand for anything or mean something?

Hello, I'm burstroc!

Some of you may recognize me as the "resident troll" in #mzx, our beloved IRC channel. I do not intend to mirror this behavior in DigitalMZX, as stiff policies and relentless administration have turned this land into a veritable modern-day Soviet Union! Rather, I've signed up so that I could stalk the forums and witness the intelligence, tact, kindness, and general sociability of its members.

My favorite things to do include: coloring, little league baseball, climbing trees, riding my bike, building things with legos and/or K'NEX, seeing my granny and grandpa, eating pie (yum!), and playing with Nerf guns. I don't really use MegaZeux that often. In fact, just recently I was able to get it to work because of the Mac OS X binaries that were posted by a fellow named Alistair. I didn't really use it though, because I'm pretty busy these days.

I've played around with ZZT a little bit, but it's kind of pain in the tookus because I have to run it using DosBox and that's no fun, because my PowerBook G4 always gets so hot. Maybe someday someone will get around to making a ZZT binary for Mac OS X. One can only hope.

I guess I'll leave it at that. :p

Welcome to the community, Burstroc. I hope you enjoy your stay. And the rules are in place out of necessity...I'm sure if you look at places like ZDoom.org (or heck, Z2 if they're still the way I remember them) then you'll know just how much we need these policies.

But then...I'm just an 18-year-old slacker with an overdeveloped sense of justice, what do I know? =p
