Uh, hey...I'm Markus. I joined the whole community in..uh...2002. I've been doing MZX games since 1999, but I haven't really finished anything, except for those DoZ & WoZ games I've done with the other Finnards. I am also a member of Interactive Fantasies. That does not matter really.
I like roleplaying (pretty much all forms of roleplaying, except LARP...). I also like...um...playing video games, drinking, hanging out with my friends, drawing, and of course, making stuff with MZX. I don't like ZZT.
<Beige> In Finland, they defecate on each other's sleeping areas.
<Beige> It's a cultural sign of respect.

<lolilover> I notice alot of Japanese fiction involving kemono-mimi characters always has the main character saving an innocent animal and then the animal returns as a girl to reward him for his kindness.
<lolilover> Well there's a cat that is always wandering around in my backyard. Should I feed it in the hopes that one day a catgirl will show up at my door?

Basically my nick came about because when I tried to sign up for my first email account about 5-6 years ago, I couldn't get col@...so I shoved some X's around it. It's kind of a lame nick in that respect, but it just stuck.
I've been in the community since early-1999 (when I was 12!), but I've never really made any games worthy of mentioning...I made a few newbie-ish demos, and also a retarded 4kb game called 'World's Drunkest Smiley'. I'm pretty sure there's no such word as "drunkest", but that's probably the point.
I used to be quite active on mWorld, and I spent about a year or so as a moderator here on DMZX, but recently I've just sat around IRC mocking people. It's fun though!
I never really ever was a MZXer, and I've always been more of a musician. I used to make mods, but after getting some new equipment I've been making uber trance anthems on my KORG TRITON synth.
End.

MZX/ZZT aside, I enjoy playing Dance Dance Revolution (only PSMH and PSMO stand in my way of TOTAL ABSOLUTE VICTOLY over DDR Extreme), playing BeatMania (shame the closest machine is an hour away from me), mashing keys on StepMania, playing Dreamcast (<3), and drinking Kool-Aid.

I am making a game called The Legend of Xon right now. An RPG with a few bloody cutscenes. I have a journal of it in the Journals section.
While im not MZXing, I enjoy reading 8-Bit Theater, playing Final Fantasy I, and watching The Slayers.
Thats all.

Anyway, I'm Matt Rudi and/or Switchblade. I don't know why that's my nick, it has no story, and I can't make a post as long as Ler's. As of the time I made this post, I've released 3 shitty games (ski2004, sk82004 and beat box). I'm currently working on a sidescroller called Robot Universe and will try not to scrap it. Other than that, I aint shit.

I'm your average bored high school student, except without the stupid. Oh, and I have sarcasm in my veins instead of blood, or so I'm told. Xombie is just a newer version of ZombieBoy, which I used on mWorld when I was younger. I also used it on AIM with various 5 letter greek letters after it (Alpha, Theta, Gamma, Omega, Sigma). No, I am not goth, or whatever those people like to call themselves. I don't think that I am undead, though others that observe my sleeping habits may disagree. I just picked undead themed names because the first thing that I made for mzx was a crappy little engine that I did in 2-5 minutes that reanimated the player after game over. Zombie Engine >> ZombieBoy.
Languages are easy for me, and that includes programming, math (including odd bases like 2, 16, 2i, and 1-i, which sets me apart from most math people), and other symbloic type languages. I can program quite well, and thats about it. When it comes to graphics, I would prefer to use the default character set. And the default colors too. I like the default colors.
Speaking of graphics, it seems that our new member Sakiana has an aptitude for the areas in which I have the greatest weakness. If you do show up much, and are interested in helping with a project that sorely needs a compitent artist, PM me and we can work something out.

Xombie: Reanimated the player as in...?
(A) Actually put him back in gameplay? Does adding a life after gameover work?
(B) Did a "reanimation" cutscene on the Game Over board?
