Oh cool, yeah, I'm into making games too...you'd better be one of those people who likes simple graphics in games that aren't too fancy (but that still look good) and have an interesting story. If not, the action-packed ones are good too. You can have some of both: a good story and good action. I like lots of ZZT games because though the graphics aren't terribly good the story is. And also, why am I typing this? I think I'll just see what you do. Make a game make a game!

Welcome, ice 252 to dmzx. I'm still a bit of a n00b here hehe.

Hello,I us the alias Natasmai which is I AM SATAN backwards, but really I don't feel that way. My real name is David, and I live in the country of Canada. I found ZZT a long time ago, Id say around 97/98 and started using it on the computers I had, which were mostly 486's, 386's and an old Tandy 1000 rl. At this time I had actually found ways to run internet on these things, which was like all text based and almost unbearable to read, with a 2800 baud modem so that didn't help the speed much. I had found Megazeux not to long after when I was browsing a ZZT web site. I was really impressed by the program, and started using it. I however didn't get involved with the community. It was just the other day when I saw Megazeux on Dosgames.com and figured I'd give the scene a look over. About a year earlier I had did the same and found that things seemed dead. When I found this site, post were recent, and the everything seemed to be kept in check because there wasn't any broken links and stuff like that. I figured Id give a game I tried to create in Megazeux a long time ago a chance once again. I released it, and its was a medocere effort of a game as you may have found out. IF you ever play crop hunter, you'll soon realize the game lacks a whole lot. Some general stuff about me:

as of this post (Jan 7, 2005)

I am 20 years old

I have long brown hair and hazel eyes

I just got a new job! Unfortunately its telemarketing

I program with a passion, love making games and various other medias

Besides that I don't have much else to say. I lead a very fullfilling life sitting in front of my computer and working, both at my computer and at jobs. Id go out more, but moneys tight, and a lot of the people claiming to be a freind seemd to have buggered off, probably to colleges or universities or something, but I still haven't heard from anyone. Im just waiting till I can walk out the door to summer again, I like being outside, just not when it below 0 degrees celcius. I hope everyone is alright an is enjoying the new year. I don't know what else to say about myself right now. I could just keep typing though so I think Im going to stop now.

Hey. I gave up on Megazeux years ago because no matter what I did, it would not work with Windows XP. Now that I've discovered that there's a Windows-friendly version, I've been toying around with it again. I never released anything back in the day or even posted anywhere, I just messed around, but now I want to actually do something!

But mostly this post is just to be like, "Hi." So, hi.

If this is the wrong forum to post this in, I apologize. I couldn't find an introduction thread, so I just made one myself.

Merged with the Introduction thread.

Welcome, for sanity sake, please tell us what gender you are and do not decide to change later, as it is usually met with much negetivety and skepticism.

Also, how back in the days are you from? Jooc

Wow, there IS an introduction thread. I suck. Sorry.

I am a male. Seriously, it's on my driver's license and everything.

I am 22, not 23.

Like I said, I was never really an active part of the community at all, but the last thing I remember from before I sort of stopped paying attention was...the Zog the Hunter II demo coming out, wowing everyone, and then somebody's computer crashed and the project was scrapped. Something like that.

That is very long ago. Kind of surreal to come back to it, isn't it. Like, Whoa, this program is still being updated and people are still talking about it after how many years...?

Well as he doesn't have control over you, he also doesn't really have control over what he says. Or else he, and anyone else, can get busted. So be careful what you say here 'cause it doesn't go as well to talk shmack as it does in Z2.

good advice. You should get a job on Z2 as a shrink. You'd save lots of people.
