So I've come to the conclusion that the majority of my creative output tends to be in the form of lets plays and commentaries and such on YouTube, so I figured I'd give MZXers a chance to see this stuff, comment, subscribe, and provide a place to talk of upcoming videos and such.

Basically, I'm plugging my YouTube channel. :(

So, without further ado

Here's my latest thing, a 3 parter (one part finished so far) MST3King of The Lion King

Next, we have Sid's Games He Hasn't Played In Years, a series of short Lets Plays of mainly Sega Genesis games.

Truxton

OutRun

Alien 3

And finally, from way back, a never finished Let's Play of Chrono Trigger

Also, a selection of some of my favorite old video game tunes

<@Tixus> Anyway, I set the year to 1988 for some reason.
<@Tixus> And set the microwave to run for a minute and 28 seconds.
<@Tixus> But it failed to send me back in time, and I was disappointed.
<Insidious> Tixus accidentally microwaved the 80s
<Insidious> that is my takeaway from this

So, I'm going to be uploading the next 2 parts of that Lion King MST once I have a usable mic again (and reuploading the first one)

ALSO, I'm going to be recording a Lets Play of Final Fantasy 7, the PC version heavily modded to look even better than the PSX version (mostly in terms of having the field models actually look realistic instead of twigs with drumstick hands, etc)

I'll love you forever if you do an LP of Ruin Diver III, and actually beat it.

Another special request from me: You should also LP Ryan Thunder.

So I'm starting to record the FF7 playthrough today, and I've decided to make one concession to waste less time.

For sections where I will be just grinding for a bit to get my AP/EXP up (Parts where, if I show them at all, I'd show them sped up anyway), I'm going to be using the "Speed Hack" functionality of Cheat Engine to allow me to speed up this part of the gameplay for myself without effectively cheapening it by making it require any less actual effort.

Thoughts?

not that grinding is really needed for FF7 anyway, but you might as well speed it up. I sure do

Save states = cheating, but fastforward = necessary to finish certain games without them being horribly boring and giving you a bad impression of them

<Malwyn> Yes, yes. Don't worry I'd rather masturbate with broken glass than ask you for help again. :(

If you're gonna do that, don't speed up your voice along with the game. I really hate that.

Better yet, just cut them out entirely. Saves more time.
