I've rewritten this very post about 10 times trying to find the best, most tactful way to put this without looking like an asshole, and have utterly failed.

I don't really care that someone else already posted a video of themselves playing Daikatana. Even though my co-op players' and my opinions may not differ from those of the players involved in the vastly more prolific lparchive playthrough, I figured that it was worth the experience in both playing, recording, and editing the result so that people I know might potentially watch a video and maybe, possibly be entertained by it, even if the only source of entertainment is "Gee, I'm glad I'm not playing this game that I'm watching."

So in short, yes, I know, someone else played Daikatana and posted the recording online. This isn't intended to replace that. Go watch lparchive's version if you prefer it. This just isn't constructive in any way.

I suspect wildweasel is reading malice into SeventhShade's post that really isn't present. Anyway, the LP in question isn't a video one (although IIRC it does link videos, although it's been aaages since I looked at it) so I suspect Seventh was just linking it because it happens to be an entertaining read.

No, I mean, the fact that his reply consisted solely of a link to someone else's arguably better thing on the same topic pretty much undermines the effort I put into editing and uploading mine.

"Simpsons did it!" is a pretty tongue-in-cheek reference to a South Park episode -- I doubt he was seriously trying to undermine your video. I watched it and found it entertaining. I've never seen gameplay from Daikatana before... pretty much ended any desire I had to actually play it.
