I'd like such section to be created and this will make possible for people to share their MZX knowledge. Examples of such tutorials would be "How to make your own textbox", "How to make health/progress bar", etc.

Society consists mostly of jerks. We cannot neglect their involvement into building our civilization - without them we
wouldn't have such wonderful inventions like war, money, drugs... or Microsoft Windows.

We had something like that on Zeuxworld, another forum for MZX that died around 8 years ago. It barely ever got used. That said, most users know how to do a ton more now than they did back then, who knows who'd be willing to share. As far as I'm concerned, anything like this could just be posted in the MZXWiki.
"Let's just say I'm a GOOD hacker, AND virus maker. I'm sure you wouldn't like to pay for another PC would you?"

Well, with Wiki "everyone can edit" policy it'd be hard to track down original author of the tutorial, so game author can't thank, e.g. Lancer-X for making X tutorial (name was taken completely at random) because he just won't know if he is original author (again, anyone can edit "Tutorial originally made by X" line in wiki article so you can't be 100% sure if person who is mentioned there actually made original tutorial).
Also, more life-like issue is e.g. tutorial series or unfinished tutorials that would evolve as time progresses. I'm afraid that posting unfinished tutorials on the Wiki might be considered spamming, etc. so I'd prefer that on wiki only quality and finished tutorials would be posted.

It wouldn't really be considered spamming, and there is an article history for every page, so it'd be easy to tell who originally posted the article and what the original version said if it's been changed.

Still, would prefer Wiki to have only quality tutorials, not shitload of low-quality or unfinished ones, but few which are well-written and are actually worthy to be on Wiki. For all other things Tutorial section on forums would be enough.

Personally, I think the Robotic Talk section should be a base for tutorial writing, and good tutorials developed there should be moved to the wiki, mainly because the forums to me are a better place for discussion from newcomers than a wiki is.
Also, what would you like to see a tutorial written about?

<Nadir> mzxers don't make GAMES, usually
<phthalocyanine> they make experiences.
<Nadir> demos, more like
<Nadir> a glimpse into what could have been if mzx wasn't such a bore to work with
<Nadir> actually, i'm being unfair
<Nadir> i would have made mzx games if it was capable of running on more than 20 computers worldwide in 1998
<Nadir> >:D
<%Alice> functor
<%nooodl> i hear C++ has a thing called functors and they're completely different from Haskell functors...
<rorirover> the result is the most horrid thing in C++, it's basically black magic and it transforms any code you're writing into some eldritch monstrosity

That reminds me, if I ever actually finish an RPG I should probably thank Lancer-X who basically gave me a tutorial once about textbox engines.
