The man lived alone in small cabin in the mountains over one hundred miles away from civilization. When a person lives that far out they have to pay attention to details. Make sure they don't forget anything.

Yesterday, he decided to take his annual trip to town to buy all the necessary supplies for the year. That morning, he packed everything he might need: extra gas, a set of winter clothes (it can get awfully cold that high up at night, even in summer), food, road flares, a rifle, and his gps. He checked the vehicle's fluid levels, the battery, the works. He even finished early.

So early, he decided to go back to bed for a short nap. He woke up a while later, the bright sunlight filtering through his blinds. He hated that. He had blinds on all of his windows, all of them shut, just to keep the sun from out of his eyes when he woke up. Maybe he'd pick up some window shades, instead. He looked at the clock. 1 o' clock. Plenty of time.

He grabbed his keys, walked out the door, and was never seen again. He forgot to check one little detail. The clock said 1 am.

So... I officially don't get it. Why was there bright sunlight at 1am? Why was he never seen again?

<@Tixus> Anyway, I set the year to 1988 for some reason.
<@Tixus> And set the microwave to run for a minute and 28 seconds.
<@Tixus> But it failed to send me back in time, and I was disappointed.
<Insidious> Tixus accidentally microwaved the 80s
<Insidious> that is my takeaway from this

The vigilance typical of this man failed him at a moment where it mattered most, a moment deeply embedded in the cold embrace of...

The Twilight Zone.

The bright sunlight at 1am is because Obama turned control of the country over to the United Nations, which instituted UTC as the one universal timezone, hence what was 6am is now 4pm (he lives in Alaska, okay?) and when he left he was captured and interred in a FEMA concentration camp.

<Malwyn> Yes, yes. Don't worry I'd rather masturbate with broken glass than ask you for help again. :(

No, it was Judgement Day. He met God at the door (God radiates light, of course) and was found unprepared for the one thing that mattered. Honestly, haven't you people given eschatology any serious thought? God could come at any time! We've got to warn everyone that the world is ending. Like, tomorrow.
