So by using joy1axis3 in the config.txt menu you can access the triggers on an Xbox360 controller. joy1axis4 and joy1axis5 are for the right thumbstick. I had no idea until I was playing around with it today. And here I thought you couldn't access those via MegaZeux config and had to go through something like Xpadder to do so.
I think this invalidates some of the info in one of the tutorials I did, the one about configuring MegaZeux. But I'm really happy I discovered this, how many other people knew already?
I haven't however, discovered yet how to access the D-pad. so far it just seems you can use the thumbsticks, buttons, and triggers. Anyone know of a way to do this yet?

Currently working on Servo for MegaZeux, I hope to complete it by the middle of 2015? Who knows...

Yeah, in general it's hard to do MZX with good precision, and control pads don't necessarily help.

Ok so pressing both triggers at once cancels them both out, re-centers the axis, rather than showing them as both depressed. anyone know of a fix for this?

If they're both on the same axis then no, I don't think there's a way to fix that...

Yeah that is a general problem with the Xbox 360 pad on DirectInput. It is why most games that use the 360 pad use XInput instead.
Unfortunately, since we use SDL, we use DirectInput, so.. yeah. That's not going to change.
