You know, that ZZT clone that tried to combine the aspects of ZZT and MZX? :(

Yep. And I have a copy of it on my computer. I've never used it and haven't opened it in years.
Currently working on Servo for MegaZeux, I hope to complete it by the middle of 2015? Who knows...

I used it a bit. I think it was pretty powerful (maybe overly powerful) with some of the things like its Layers, which are an awesome idea in practice but are sort of hard to control and deal with for someone coming from either parent GCS. It was cool though!
Need a dispenser here.

I only know of the Zig that you move for great justice. This ZZT/MZX hybrid is news to me.

Hilarious reference.

As for the ZIG I'm talking about, you can find version 2.0.3 (which comes with the source apparently) at the ruins of IF.

I remember it but the actual details kind of run together in my memory with Bang! and Plastic.

It was being developed by Jacob Hammond, Nanobot's cousin. Whom I don't remember an awful lot about either. Unlike Nanobot's older brother.. that guy was fun :(

I thought I had, but looking at it now I'm probably thinking of Bang! instead - and my experience with Bang! was limited to playing the one game it had for a few minutes..

The only "series" Zig had were the Zig Arena games. But those were essentialy just boss rushes and not much else..

Wasn't there an MZXer at one time named JZig? That's what I thought this was about...

Yes there was. But he didn't have anything to do with Zig.

The thing I remember most about JZig was that he was spearheading an MZX port/rewrite a long time ago, like when I was still in highschool.

I actually made 3 games with it. They are out there somewhere... floating in the inter-webs, like debris in space.

I've never been able to figure out ZIG's programming language. But then again, not a whole lot of people have. If alot more people could figure out how to make games with ZIG's confusing editor, then we'd have alot more games. Though right now, there's probably less than 10 ZIG worlds.
